Finally! Someone has said it. Christmas cards has now been replaced with matching PJays from "mine to yours". Sad isn't it? The goal with cards was to create a feeling that you are been thought of and this can comfort everyone even the lonely. But these matching PJays trend only magnifies ones loneliness and make you feel inadequate especially at the end of the year. We can do better folks. 2 Likes |

Society evolve.... those born in or were very young when digital technology was introduced would generally not appreciate Christmas Cards. Same with letters ... reason Post Offices began seeing a steep decrease in letter volume ... but an increase in parcels. Should we talk about Newspapers? .... when last have you read one?... or have you ever read one? We move! |

Technology bro. Photographers and videographers are next. With the advent of AI, graphics designers too have a formidable competition. Cashless policy will erode pos services. Electronic cars will render PMS and most of the service stations useless. Only time will tell. The only save haven for now is agriculture. 2 Likes |

You will also ask what happened to hand-written letters. Lol. The world is moving. One day even handphones won't be necessary. All you need will be a chip and voice command and you will type in the air and even see virtual humans before you. |

Wedding invitation cards will soon follow. They are actually no longer necessary. i dont know why people still print invitation cards for wedding when you can reach any number of people. by sending invitation through the phones or email. Design it as you want. |

Still very much used in the western world. It even conveys heartfelt wishes more because alongside the main note, a hand written note can be added. It fell off in Nigeria doesn’t mean it isn’t still a thing. Yes, patronage may have reduced, but it is still a big thing here in the west 5 Likes |

Chibuzoripob:i don't own or can't wear a wristwatch anymore, the smart phone has made that obsolete, I don't know why people still spend money on it, it's an old fa's, same thing will happen to alot of things in my opinion, things like Jewelries is becoming and old fad no matter if it diamond, gold or whatever, Gold might still hold some value due to its use in electronics, also Platinum, but others especially jewelries are going to go out of fad pretty soon and value dropping. Same will go for those priceless piece of arts their value are going to crash because generation Z and woke generations careless about those things also. 1 Like 1 Share |

Cards are still very much in use in advanced countries. I've received over 40 Christmas cards and also gave out about 25 cards between last week and now. There's that aura of grandiose that comes with physical cards that's lacking in the digital ones. I hardly read digital cards sent to me but be rest assured that I'll read if you give me a physical card. 5 Likes 2 Shares |
