If you have handled any building construction project in Enugu without entertaining

1. Ogba-naeche-agu (indigenous youth)
2. Local Government revenue Taskforce (Echenwudo team and co)
3. Etc

How did you achieve that?

Nice thread, I have found the Eastern part of Nigeria a very easy place to build, in comparison to other places. The only problem I see is the dilapidated condition of Federal roads across most states, the government has largely neglected the roads and it slows down the movement of men and materials to construction sites or markets.

Only way you could avoid paying any of these levies, is if you are building in your own village, and the place is remote, such that it doesn't attract the presence of task force or LGA officials.

Outside of that, no magic can achieve it.

There's a project i handle somewhere in Enugu the client used the indigene he bought the land from to shave off Local Government, revenue recovery taskforce, ogba-naeche-agu o etc grin

Each time they visit the site we will call the man, once he speaks his village tongue possing that we are building for him, those guys will dismiss grin

What actually is the problem with Nigerian youth or should I rather ask what is the problems with building contruction skills here in the east. Yesterday at the site all the workers that was at wok over 15 of them in my site were other tribes and 50% are not Nigerians except one igbo boy.

I was worried about that?

What are the possible ways we can help improve this situation please

It's troublesome yet many dont have work...some are rather waiting for handout instead of making their own money.

We are currently building a plaza in chime avenue, New Haven precisely ( Enugu State)

The site manager almost misunderstood me, thinking i am too selective with materials, we turned several block trucks back... at a time i have to contact some renowned block industries around the area that are known for machine vibrated 9inches blocks. Honestly i was short of words, from a truck of 350blocks about 76 damaged blocks was recorded

Well, as a matter of concern, importance and competence, I will introduce molding at the site as work progresses with installed block molding machine and vibrator. With such team i don't have to sort for Load Bearing Block any far especially for high foundation project.
