But the governor never did anything wrong, Akiti was seriously sick and all he should do was to handover while they focus on him is health but Betty was more concerned about power than spending the last days with the husband.

He should not have returned to Nigeria, but they wanted to make a statement by his return, they all know that he had limited time, and should have focused on his health and spent time with him. That eye wasn't necessary.

That situation she found herself wasn't a good place to be.

She knew the kind of people that surrounded her husband. Imagine someone like his deputy that was supposed to be his right hand man, yet fighting to be acclaimed the acting power.

If you were in her shoes, would you trust anyone close to the seat of government?
Would you trust your husband's life to these power drunken, heartless humans?
Who knows if the supposed lady politician was an agent of the then deputy governor?

He was in Ibadan before he died, so the family would still be in Ibadan. Of course he has a house in Owo his hometown.
