post=127666990:Honestly, I'm tired of 'wicked' nigerians always complaining that the government is corrupt. But on close observation, the people complaining are just worse... That illustration on poultry touch me well because I've been there!....Imagine using 3million naira to set up a poultry farm in ogun state and employing 30 staffs. To reduce the work stress on them and appreciate them for the work, I was paying them 25k monthly and they're to be present only 3 times a week (that is 12 times a month to be paid). Something no employer does!. These wicked people showed me hell!. They were just eating my birds, my fish (catfish at fingerlings stage) and selling the eggs without any remorse! ![]() Most Nigerians are very wicked and dishonest! |

Tareq1105:^^^ ![]() Nigerians are tired of long turenchi. If your principal is so intelligent, experienced, etc. then let him command the economy to wake up. This matter doesn't need much debate. Let him do the job and lets see the results!! And we have no intention of waiting for 8 years of empty promises - promises similar to those made by Bola Tinubu's soulmate, Muhammadu Buhari! Galloping inflation, chronic exchange rate instability etc. Was this what Bola Tinubu promised Nigerians? Propaganda has limits. |

Difrent:^^^ But your government is still subsidizing fuel imports...so you are right back where you started. Or didn't you know that? ![]() |
| Re: 2023: Companies That Exited Nigeria Amid Economic Challenges by Difrent: 7:39pm On Dec 28, 2023 |
Fujiyama:They said they are not and I believe them. Why? You lots seems to forget NNPC signed an agreement with AFDB to provide funds for future crude. That's what did the magic that enabled Government be able to sell at this pace because NNPC brings in the product at a price less the market rate so it can sell at the current rate. So no more subsidy. But I cant force you to believe otherwise if you are not willing to open your eyes to facts |

sulaak:^^^ Well...you can see the results in the quality of leaders you have listed. Your leaders love German automobiles, French luxury goods, American real estate, British and Swiss banking expertise etc. but they believe public debates are 'irrelevant'. And Nigerians endorse this madness. ![]() The results don't lie. |

Difrent:^^^ You are free to believe whatever tales by moonlight you have been fed - reality doesn't care. It will enforce its iron will whether you like it or not. Difrent:^^^ Not so fast my friend. The key word in your poem up there is the word 'magic'. Magic is for entertainers and those who wish to be entertained...it has no place in running an economy or a country. What is this agreement you speak of? Is it a loan? Is it a grant? Is it a forward contract? Is it a swap? How is the exchange rate risk mitigated...and who bears that risk? Difrent:^^^ How?!! Look, I know we are in the season of goodwill and Christmas cheer and all that but you still have to tell Nigerians where this big old Father Christmas (or Santa Claus or whatever you want to call him) is...and how he's able to give NNPC fuel at a rate less than the market rate...so that it can be sold to Nigerians at the 'current rate' (whatever that means). ![]() Delusions. |

post=127666990:You nailed it bro, that's exactly what i tell people , we are the major problem of Nigeria, lets even put the government aside, we ourselves are worse than the government we criticize, yes they are bunch of wicked and heartless people, but we ourselves , our hatred, greed and indiscipline attitude is nothing to discuss about. Changes starts from me and you |

Fujiyama:Nigeria was always going to end on this journey; the structure was faulty, as understood by the founding fathers, and that's why they settled for a regional and federal system of government. Nigerians leadership are slowly accepting that the current system of government is unworkable. |

sulaak:^^^ Ok. Valid point. I quoted you because you defended Bola Tinubu's decision to avoid presidential debates. You termed them irrelevant...but they are not. There are many countries with a political culture of debates where politicians sell their plans to the electorate...and these politicians are in turn quizzed on these plans. These countries are not stupid. These debates are a visible, high profile way of deciding how well politicians are able to sell their ideas to voters. These debates are a way of holding politicians accountable. If Nigerians think that this accountability is for fools then we should accept the consequences of such deluded thinking. Bola Tinubu has turned out to be no different from those who came before him. He ignored the debates because of the contempt he has for any kind of real accountability to voters. You think debates are irrelevant? Well...look at the disaster our economy has turned into in a space of less than one year. Bola Tinubu seizes every opportunity to talk partisan politics but he carefully avoids any situation where he may have to explain his economic agenda for Nigeria. But it is the economic matters that will put bread on tables and get people into jobs - not the political issues. BAT is not the answer. |
