PlayMaker14: People complained about similar roles played by Turai Yar'Adua during the last few months of the Late President's life. People also complained of the overwhelming influence of Mrs Patience Jonathan One of the reasons many Ibadan people gave for voting against the Late Gov Lam Adeshina was the sudden transformation into flamboyant lifestyles of his children and one participant at a Public interactive session with the Governor raises the issue. Instead of the Governor to answered diplomatically, he defended the flamboyant lifestyles of his children, saying 'they have suffered with him before and nothing wrong if they are now enjoying with him' 1 Like |

I fear who no fear Yoruba people. A woman that have lived with a man for how many years, given birth to several grown up children for him, been there with him through thick and thin until he became a governor. Una no see her as a witch or a killer, just because the man is late now the woman is now a witch and a killer. Cruelty runs in the blood of this ugly grace. Unfortunately there is next to nothing you baggas can do about Aketi and his wife. 1 Like |

PlayMaker14:It means you haven't been following Betty Akeredolu on Social Media exchanging insults with people. The woman likes power, not necessarily because she is Igbo but because she is a WOMAN! Most women ,that find themselves in positions of power can 'over do issues' In the History of Lagos , one woman called Erelu Kuti who was the daughter of the first King, Oba Ado, seized power after the death of her nephew and attempted to rule but because she was a woman, she couldn't be crown an Oba but negotiated to have her son crown King ,Oba Ologun Kutere and a new high ranking title was created for her other son , Onilegbale. Since then all the Obas were her descendants. This show how the extent on how women love power 1 Like |

Re: Akeredolu Was Weak In Matters Involving His Wife — Ex-Aide by Basicend: 1:29am On Jan 01 |
themanderon: I don't agree. It is her excessive crave for more money and power over the health and life of her husband that caused all this. They are already rich. She and her son should have allowed Aketi to observed the proper medical recovering process. He was obviously very sick and needed a lot of time (fee years) to fully recover. 3 Likes |

Fiscus105: What's wrong with her contesting for a senatorial seat? Didn't Oluremi, wife of our dear president contest for a senatorial seat and win? Oh so because it is Betty ANYAWU, she's not allowed to contest? Your post reeks of sentiment at its best. Admit it! And for your information, there would be no Rotimi AKEREDOLU if not for Betty ANYAWU.She stood by him at his worst. She was first, his friend and then his wife and closet ally. Aketi the lion Aketi the lion! Who made Aketi a lion? Betty ANYAWU made AKEREDOLU a lion. Wake up!! 2 Likes |

What point was she proving? I knew Aketi was not sleeping with anybody.” Abeg wetin be this na? Which one is marriage is a scam? After 42 years? Haba na! Which kind careless talk be this? vanbonattel: That woman was simply protecting her husband. She knew he needed lots of medical help and it seemed like some people close to the governor were offering alternative intervention which the wife didn’t like. She knew her husband more than these people. There are very educated people who would advise you to go to the church or consume strange brews when you are ill instead going to the doctors. The wife was right. Akeredolu was in a very vulnerable state and some people took advantage of it. Why would an aide offer him concoctions to drink? Is that aide a doctor or a pharmacist? That particular aide should be queried. Akeredolu was a husband and father and his family is the one mourning him while most of his friends and aides have forgotten him and gone back to play politics. People should leave this woman alone to mourn her husband. |
