Super Eagles and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has won the 2023 Nairaland Nigerian Footballer of the year award under the Nairaland Nigerian Football Fans Award. Osimhen, who is also the reigning African Footballer of the Year beat off competition from Victor Boniface and Alex Iwobi to win award with 64 votes.

In the female category, Super Falcons and Paris FC Femeni goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie renown for her heroics at the women's woeld cup beat reigning African Women Footballer of the year, Asisat Oshoala to emerge the women player of the year.

Bendel Insurance goalkeeper, Amas Obasogie beat off competition from Sikiru Alimi and Sadiq Ismail of Remo Stars to win the NPFL player of the year award.
Gent forward, Gift Orban won the prospect of the year award for the most promising uncapped Nigerian player.

Randy Waldrum, who lead the super falcons to an impressive 2023 world cup performance where they lost in the round of 16 to England was also voted as the coach of the year.
