These ministries and department can actually generate their revenue and take care of themselves with just little of government financing. Let them work like FIRS. It will bring more sanity and cause those ministries ti sit up and work. Agriculture won't only be in the books and theory but practical too. Let them generate revenue for the government too.

How can you defund regulatory agencies whose role is to regulate professional bodies to achieve a sane society.
Even developed countries have so many regulatory agencies which not only create jobs but also create effective improvements among the sectors being controlled by these professionals bodies.
Imagine saying health professional bodies will not be funded by the state and yet,the government will want to expert control on how the health sector will be run effectively.

The Director-General of the Budget Office of the Federation, Ben Akabueze, had earlier announced the discontinuation of budgetary allocations to professional bodies and councils, effective December 31, 2023.
