In mechanical engineering today china has more practicing mech engineers than the US and in robots, drones, and i think solar technology. even in the vehicle sector china is slowly beating the US, and believe me i think that the only reason the US may be beating china in military engineering is due to the difference in budget... i saw a news on this thread sayin a chinese(maybe japanese, ive forgoten) company out sold tesla... Look i am not sayin you are wrong but... The US is better than china because they maintain a high standards example. you dont see a american made product defected as much as you see in chinese onces this is one of the advantages of maintaining quality, they have market trust... china used to beats the US (until recently) in terms of exports.

I will tell you were usa beats China. Us have individuals who are ready to spend and time researching on new ground, like one man or a group of men can actually spend a lot of time and money researching for years and when what they are researching is achieved, they patent it and have sole right to it. If you want to use it, you have to take permission or pay. Countries like China don't spend that much time and money on new research they build and improve on existing ones. In terms of quality goods, it all depends on what you can afford, Tecno is from China but if you the money go for Huawei p series or mate series some are even more expensive than Samsung and iPhones it all boils down to what your money can carry.
