A Constructed Language As Nigeria's Official Language by WoeBetide666: 5:40pm On Jan 07
If there were a bill proposing the creation and adoption of a constructed language, based on existing Nigerian languages, as our official language, would you be in support or against?

Why?

Note: A constructed language is a language--such as Esperanto, Klingon, and Dothraki--that has been consciously created by an individual or group.

A natural language like Hausa will do just fine

Hausa would have been perfect, but, to me, it will not serve well as a language to build a national identity. Which, I feel, is the main purpose of an official language

Nawa oo, your mind is conditioned to perceive any opposition view as tribalism and i cannot help you, must everything go your way??

You chose hausa as official language and I suggested we add yoruba and igbo too, vooom you're shouting the only thing you know- tribalism.

So many countries have more than three official languages incase you don't know.
