If the charging module inside is still functional then u'll have no issues with charging as the chemistry and charging behaviour for both pouch and 18650 cells are the same.

The tiny strand of wire (fuse wire) is supposed to be connected to a thick copper individually.

See the attached image... The yellow line is supposed to be a thick copper, then the fuse wire (red lines) taps from each cell to it.
