Yoruba amaka
Yoruba women dey para these days.

—In Fintech industry, na them dey lead.

—In Music industry, na them dey on top.

—In movie industry, na them dey lead.

—At CEO level in all strata, na them dey lead.

—In wealth and enterprise, na them dey still lead.

I will still research the reason for this. Maybe it’s the culture that gave men and women equal right in Yorubaland so both men and women grew together at the same pace.

I think cos of Lagos, which gives Yoruba people a big advantage, just like USA leads the world cos of USA advantage. Other people from other regions should try and remove eye from Lagos and develop a Lagos in their own region to be able to compete fairly. Igbos and Benins are the only ones trying.

You have a point about Lagos but why is Lagos favoring only Yoruba women? You have other tribe women in Lagos and they all have equal right in private enterprise and personal excellence but yet they couldn’t overshadow Yoruba women.

However, that is not the main reason because even before Lagos was this big, Yoruba women have always dominated major sectors and markets. Thats why when you go about reading about first in any field, they are usually Yoruba women.

You know the answer to that. Check the last election on why.

I want to learn. How does last election relate to individual success in private industry and entertainment sector?

How does last election make Tems win a Grammy or how did it produce all the CEO in this thread?

Dig deep. I’m not going to answer you. Nigerians just like to going back and forth. I’ve stated my reasons. Let everyone draw their own conclusion. You’ve drawn yours.

I am not diging anything deep unless it’s the honey pot 🍯.

Tell me how last election issue produced the below:

—Grammy for Sade Adu and Tems
—7 of the top 9 women CEO for banks
— Nearly 80% of women dominating the fintech industry
—Back to back highest Nollywood gross movies of all time
—Topmost female artist in Africa
—Richest woman in Africa at one point.

You guys should be fighting for your Oduduwa country then. I’m sure it will be the greatest country in Africa. We Niger Deltans want to leave.

So it’s now a sin to praise my Yoruba women?

What is Nairaland turning to?

I just came back from a ban, even tho that was because I flouted Nairaland rule but on this one, any mod that ban me for celebrating Yoruba women will hear from igba irunmole.

I had actually thought you are Yoruba when you first engaged me.

Now I understand why you’re arguing with me.

Ok, another example right here. That is because I’m mostly unbiased in my view of things, unlike you that is always looking at everything from a Yoruba angle. Lol

Truly, your first response showed no bias and I responded to you without bias too.

Then your second response came with lot of bias and defeatist mindset. Because you think Yoruba women have the edge, then you inserted election into it to try to water down their success as being a product of tribalism.

I am Yoruba and always think in Yoruba. In Nigeria today, when you love your tribe and you’re vocal about it, you’re automatically a tribalist.

there's nothing wrong in celebrating Yoruba women o! But doing a comparison with other ethnic groups by making derogatory statements and throwing insults is definitely against rule number 2. I'm sure your minions are coming to invade the thread with what I just said, abi it seems they're all serving ban.
Don't mind me jare!! grin

Could you please point out the derogatory and insults I made on this thread?

Defeatist mindset? I doubt most Yoruba women are as intelligent or as wealthy as I am. The only people that ever surpassed me were Igbo and very very few at that.
Tribalist spotted. I am sure you actually meant the reverse.

Small time now, you would say you are richer than these CEOs or the likes of Alakija.
