My car is a 07/08 Toyota Camry V6 , with a 22 pin gearbox , i first noticed that my reverse was jerking and will eventually off whenever i try to reverse . A computer scan was done , plugs were checked , and none was the issue , then my mechanic suggested we visit a gear box specialist who eventually charged me over 250k to change the valve body , pump and one other item I have forgotten, but then after all that, the gear performed fairly okay with the reverse working , but after a few weeks, the movement became so dull and the movement become so slow and doesn’t select fine .

Am actually tired and frustrated on trying to fix anything again, which leaves me with considering changing the entire gearbox , please experts here, what would you suggest I do and that would work ?
Also I noticed my gear doesn’t enter into S anymore , Only P, N , R, D , because my car has S in the gear selection, please advice me what I can do

Buy new tokunbo direct gear box. Your gearbox is U660E and a bit expensive around 500k or so. But when fixing they must be extremely careful cause dirt is the major killer of that transmission which is introduced when doing shaft or suspension work.

OP is better to just buy another gear box.

Buy another gearbox. But ensure you are buying toks. You can still sell that ur old one for a little change.

I later realised the drain bolt was loose and threads worn out.so I loose some amount of oil daily without knowing .making my gear to malfunction on reverse.not till I parked the car and travelled when I came back.let me go out .the car refused to pick on reverse.when I guaged the oil..it was almost on the last dipstick level. I just abandoned it till I have money to buy original type t4 oil. No more aondo dextron 2 and 3.they are all fake oils.evem the toyota type t4.im still thinking where I will see original to buy.

Why would you use dexron 2. That fluid is for power steering. Most likely, you will have to buy a new gear box.

Never get convinced to guy 10pin. You will live in regrets.
