Nothing to set on fire there...they have been benefitting from the system,, so when it goes against them they should calm down. But I don't understand why federal government will expend billions on election, at the end of the day it's the seven man supreme court that will decide the winner at the end of the day. This country na cruise.
This is clearly Mahmud fault.

Spent billions and gave us sham of elections

I am highly disappointed with him and his Inec.

No one can fight the federal government easily.

If they pronounce APC, there will be riot for few day from few people, police/military will come in to quench it and the politicians will start cross carpeting.

Life continues the next week.

Even though I wanted Abba to win, but I was also aware that APC had a very strong case. Historically, it has been very clear that the Nigerian Supreme Court doesn't look at the merit of politically-charged cases, but always concerned about the security or political implications of their judgment. That's why it's almost impossible for them to overturn a presidential election no matter how glaring the irregularities are.
You are very correct and you do follow political developments in Nigeria. Supreme court always give judgment on political cases not necessarily on the merit or substance of the cases, but they look at the political or security situations in the area or country b4 deciding on the cases.

I am from IMO and I will say it again We did not vote for HOPE(APC).

No doubt you are part of the Failure of the Country System if you keep up with this
Who is the “We”?

Do you means APC have no members in Imo state again?

Go and check the margin of win, Hope defeated your candidate by a wide margin. Rigging cannot give you that numbers.

He won ALL local government and your failed LP came distant third.

If you like come from Olu or whatever in Imo, you are just one person in the state.

Quit being a bitter loser. Your Elupeee came third and in all states they contested as governor, only win they had was in Abia. Did they rigged your party out of other states too?

You can’t even brokeshame me with better money. 30k?

He held thus:
"I have found that the decision of the tribunal to deduct 165,616 votes from the Governor's results was based on provisions of the Electoral Act 2022.

“What is the effect of a ballot paper not having the marks by the Electoral commission?”

“A ballot paper that does not bear INEC mark is not invalid by all purposes.

Also, there is no proof that the said ballot papers were not the one used at the election.

The above points will be used to rig elections and the courts cant fault d ruling of the supreme Court.
The future is not bright at all.
But all thanks because it didn't go d way of APC people would have picked those points and start shouting democracy is murdered.
Now nobody cares about d future consequences.

Supreme Court pronouncing a judgement is not a rogue system.

The rogue system will be the government sitting idle and allowing supporters of politicians to cause anarchy in a state.

Think for a second.

You nailed it. Nigerians are funny people - they always say the country will burn, then nothing happens! Even when Supreme Court threw out a popular 2-year gov in Imo and announced an unpopular 4th place finisher as gov - based on clearly forged ballots, NOTHING HAPPENED!

Nothing would have happen if the supreme court gave the judgment in favour of the APC. Obi supporters threatened Nigerians more than this but he still lost at the appeal and supreme court.
PO supporters are mostly educated southerners...

I went to pick up some money at Jaiz Bank Plc earlier today, Jaiz Bank is located in Kano House, CBD Abuja.

I noticed the presence of shabbiky dressed, red-eyed, red capped fellows jam packed inside Golf around the premises.

A friend of mine who works in the building even forwarded a security alert message/mail that was sent to them this morning.

Don't say what you don't know..

Re: Judiciary Could Have Set The Country On Fire, Reactions ToS’court Ruling On Kano by Teenaira: 5:14pm On Jan 12, 2024
There is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed in Nigeria. A group of people will always want to win in the court. If the court decides in their favour, then the Judiciary has respected the rule of law and the will of the people. If for any reason they loose, then the Judiciary has sold out. They have sold justice to the highest bidder. They are even ready to physically attack Justices if possible. This should be a great concern to the nation.

Lol. It is like saying that some people have vowed that the judgement was either favour them or they would set the country on fire. Why on earth would supreme court okay ballot papers with no INEC signatures, dates and stamps?
