Evidently, this AFCON for Nigeria will come down to PRAYERS, other teams pray too

Evidently, this AFCON for Nigeria will come down to HOPE, which is not a strategy in football.

The fear of Super Eagles by other teams is no longer there...now we fear meeting Senegal, etc
Please say “you fear”, don’t generalize your insecurities. It’s Eleven against Eleven on the pitch.

Jay Jay Okocha on Maduka Okoye’s exemption from AFCON 🗣️

“The way he has been treated since AFCON 2021, after that fateful Tunisia game, leading to his exclusion from the Eagles, is a mistake. “He is the one keeper that has the type of training and football upbringing that we need in a goalkeeper in the national team. But he is excluded. It’s strange,”

If a team could reach final after loosing it's first team to plane crash, then nothing stops Nigeria from achieving same or even surpassing it, with just few injuries.

Can Peseiro be another Waldrum? He can. 'Never underestimate a man who is down'.
Peseiro is injured.

Some fans here are just shameless.
There are cooking Peseiro but failed to cook eguaveon for the rubbish he did.
They also hail keshi as the next best thing after sliced bread.
These guys act like the Bruce Lee of Nigerian football but in reality they are suffering from selective amnesia. They truly want Nigeria to fail so they can boastfully say, “we told you so”.
SMH. You guys gonna learn soon.
how dare Nigerians have doubt over the ability of pasiero to lead Nigeria to afcon glory. Even tho he has failed to win our last three matches and could only manage draws which were against 150 rated Lesotho and 125 rated Zimbabwe and lost one practice match against guinea, that does not mean they should start casting doubt on the team's chances. You people are supposed to just keep quiet and follow the team without criticism. Shame on you people.

Jay Jay talking my mind.

We are rewarding mediocrity in goal. A key aspect of any winning team/champion. And journalists and sport bloggers are trying to evoke emotional support and manipulation for what should not be. It is sickening.

It shows this guy has long legs aside JPes. Maduka obviously no get long leg reach, thus the omission. Hilarious for us to still be thinking everything with this team is solely merit. But we move sha.

Before someone say this is Pessimistic, when was the last time this department was such a horror that it was decisive in not going to WC? Well.... we move.

Best of luck to them. I really want to see Osimhen bang in stunners and get golden boot

Thank you Mikel! Olise, Amuneke etc should not be allowed near the Super Eagles!

Finidi George is the only one with the temperament and experience to coach the Super E!
Agreed without question

In addition he is not desperately hungry for money, Finidi has had money 🤑 for a very long time. He cannot be influenced with money.

the statement was also weird to me too considering the best waldrum has ever achieved for us in Africa is a 4th place finish in wafcon 2022. Rohr would have been a better example cos at least that one got third place in afcon.

Thank God this is not only platform to follow Super Eagles eh. LOL!

In 2004, two prolific Strikers, Aiyegbeni and Agali and a legendary leftback Babayaro were expelled from Camp for indiscipline, yet we didn't fail to reach Semi-final and went home with bronze medals.

Odewingie saw an opportunity and grabbed it. Utaka saw an opportunity and didn't shy away from it, guess what - both were Wingers.

Icon4s recently reminded folks here to refresh their memory or at best ask their Elders to tell them stories of Eagles at AFCON, but they would rather keep wailing here. LOL!

If JPes still plays 4 - 4 - 2 formation, absence of Boniface, Iheanacho, Sadiq ain't gonna affect the team. In fact, its an opportunity for Iwobi to play 8, behind Osimhen, flanked by Lukman and Chukwueze plus Onyeka and Oyendika double-pivot.

If Chukwueze head not booting well, bring on Simon to replace him. I do not understand folks here to be honest. Competition starts tomorrow but gnashing of teeth full everywhere day and night.
I wish Pasiero reason like you.

The rank and file of the Super Eagles management and leadership of the NFF have contrived to put us in jeopardy. It is almost as if the Afcon came up suddenly or the Super Eagles were called in late to replace a country.

It's absolutely shocking reading Brown Ideye's tweet alleging that Sodiq was injured before coming to camp and the management was aware. They are now hustling to bring in late replacements on hitherto unbalanced team.

This reminds me of a botched friendly against Romania back in mid2000s where we couldn't field 11 players and resorted to ask the Romanian FA if they knew Nigerians playing football in the country who could be interested to play the game. grin

On a lighter note, maybe we should ask Ivory coast if there are Nigerians who play football in their country and would be interested in playing Afcon 😂
It is so pathetic

When we have Dessers, Akor Adams, orban and chuba akpom ever ready to play. This players will walk into any of the afcon team.

It is just too unfortunate. The nff and pasiero choose to put us in this mess even when it is obvious nacho is injured the oldies still stick to 25 players instead of 27

Exactly my point. There's no way you can tell me there is no decent CF in the NPFL that can be called up as an emergency replacement.

What are the scouts doing?
A coach that could not scout a decent goal keeper from the NPFL all this while now you're expecting him to draft in a CF

What happened to Dessers and akor adams ?

I think Okocha should know best but was Maduka excluded or excused himself after backlash from his performance against Tunisia? well I don't want to talk about his form cuz off form Uzoho always making the team.

He didn't said a must for NPFL CF but just talking about a situation where clubs are not ready to release late call players if Peseiro have been monitoring the league he would not have issue drafting a player.

From all indications. Considering the injuries to the team & the ball watching nature of our CB's coupled with the confidence issues of the GK. I'll go with 4-2-3-1. Double pivot of Onyeka & Onyedika. That way ill be sure that I have bodies at the back & MF. My opinion tho.

Update: Oliseh Is Very Clueless, Jealous And Terrible - Mikel Opens A Can Of Worms🇳🇬🦅

“He was so bitter with everybody, jealous with everybody, and had no respect for speaking to anybody, whether the physio or anybody.”

“The players never understood anything he was doing, and he did not know what he was doing. He was just confused because he just came in and destroyed the team togetherness."

Oliseh should not near our national team again
