To some extent you are right (I have even personally witnessed what you described), but at the end of the day, Lagos is Nigeria's largest urban center, and it does spill over into Ogun...(am sure most of the large data from Ogun comes from the areas adjoining Lagos)
I understand Ogun is close to Lagos
But still it can't be more populated than Kano rivers or oyo

So to you Ogun is more populated than Kano, rivers or oyo?
Nawa oooo......just a simple and direct question.

Cos a place is more populated doesn't mean it has alot of people using the internet.....maybe you should read the topic.

One again my question is very simple.......is ogun state 4 million in people population.

When you call Nigeria outside the country it shows Nigeria nr instead of your foreign nr. This happens most of the time. My naija i hail thee.

Nigercity:
Most of these datas are flawed

If am browsing in Bayesla, my IP address normally shows port Harcourt
If am in Niger state, it will show Abuja
If am In uyo it will still show pH
Sometimes you might be in Edo and it will indicate that you are somewhere around Lagos or ibandan,
If you're browsing in zaira
It will show Kano

But outside country is not like that
If you are in Huston texas it will show Huston taxes,
Every city is equally indicated

In Nigeria here, the service providers (i.e MTN,glo e.t.c) are logining us in from any city the seems fit at any time the deem fit
But as usual
Some people will still want to gloat over it
There is no indication from the report that IP address was the primary source of the data.
If that was the case, Lagos will have 95% of all internet subscribers.

The service providers actually knows exactly where you are down to the street level
and it has nothing to do with IP.

1.Kano is number 3, and I think it is a close number 3.

2.Parts of Ogun fall in the Lagos metropolitan area, then there are large towns like Abeokuta, Sagamu and company there.

We already know this
The op said his data shows Nigerian population
Read the post again
For him to think Ogun is more populated than Kano rivers, oyo shows ignorance

Population of Ogun state and Oyo state can't be less than 20m each.

So how come
Ogun state population is not up to the number of internet users in they state

Or is Ogun more populated than Kano, rivers or oyo?

Seems like internet activities all over many part of South South/ south east
Is ascribe to rivers state
While those in some part of Delta/ Edo/ondo is ascribed to oyo
Then Nasssawra,kogi,niger e.t.c Abuja

Those trying to gloat over this
Are uneducated about how this things works

As usual the see everything as agenda grin

For ogun to have more internet subscribtion that is more than twice above it population ahead of Kano, oyo and Delta/Edo/ rivers (the headquarters of internet fraud in Nigeria) should tell you more
Oga take it easy, Edo/Delta internet users ascribed to Oyo. How close are those two states to Oyo? That your map no be here ooo.

Hmmmm. Have you been to Mowe/Ibafo lately? What of Sango/Ota? Most of internet users there work in lagos and retire home in the evening. They prepare and send their reports over the werkends and all.

Can you pls tell me what's interesting about ijebu ode that would generate a convincing data in Internet usage? After the moribund Odutola Tyres, I can't place my mind on any viable existing company there. Maybe teachers and students of tasued are those consuming those data though. Don't abuse oo, just present your case in a civil manner if you want me to still respond to you. I'm waiting.

Guy! They're more connected devices in those places than rivers, Kano or Edo. My phone is connected and my mifi is connected.
By IP address is that a single person?

More device in Lagos and Ogun state are connected to the internet

Ijebu ode is an highly populated city from ancient times. Internet users does mean it has to be multiple company.

Ijebu ode is one of the economic power city of Ogun state.
Re: Lagos, Ogun Top 2023 Internet Growth - NBS by foleskay(m): 9:08am On Jan 13, 2024
Not surprised. These states are highly populated. I don't know which state has more population between Ogun and Oyo ..but Oyo is damn hugeee.

I don't know the rationale behind Oyo having 33 LGS and Kano having 44 LGS.. And Lagos having 22 local govts and katsina having 34 lgs. What an obnoxious and distorted of facts and figures. Yorubas have been marginalized so long

This one no be insult mata; let's get into the technicalities. If you don't use IP addresses to know people's locations, what else do Nigerian ISPs use? Feel free to use Google but be ready to defend it.

The steady increase in the total number of active internet users is an indicator of something good.

My only worry is that it appears that network providers have stop selling data to billionaires. It’s indeed true that money can’t buy everything, not even the presidency of an ordinary zoo.

So ogun state is now populated than Kano, oyo and rivers state?
Wow
I never knew grin

Like, I said that stuff they op posted if not fabricated should be base on active internet web subscribtion and activities
Which clearly does not show true locations of the users here in Nigeria

Now ask yourself
How come according to the report, there are more internet users in ogun state far more than actual human beings
Are there ghost or invisible aliens using the internet?
I have 5 sims, 2 mtn, 1 airtel router and 2 glo sim cards, all of them have at least 3g of data as I speak to you right now
Does that answer your question?
