The Indomitable Lions of Thomas Nkono, Emmanuel Kunde, Oman Biyik, Kana Biyik, Roger Milla and the other Cameroon players who were mainly from Canon Sportive didn't allow Nigerian Eagles Fly. Ernest Okonkwo, Richard Asiegbu and Tolu Fatoyinbo of Radio Nigeria were almost in tears. My first was Tunisia 1994. 1996 and 1998… didn’t watch because Nigeria wasn’t there. Nig/Ghana 2000 was my favourite. With goal line tech, we could have won the shoot out. 2002 and 2004. Since 2004, I haven’t been keen because allegiances switched to Arsenal. 2024, I will watch from quarterfinals onwards if Nigeria is still there. 3 Likes |

Afcon gets boring every season...! The last one I watched and enjoyed was when Stephen Keshi of blessed memory took the boys to lift it... It was awesome. I also enjoyed the one where Zambia won a hard-fought final. These days, they play over defensive boring and crappy football... I hope this year will be different. Imagine last one that Senegal won, goals were so shockingly scarce. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I started in 1988. The referee in the final game in Maroc 88 was Jean Fidel Diramba from Gabon. The game was between Nigeria and Cameroon and ended in controversial 1-0 victory for the latter. 1 Like |
