Anything to move our Darling country forward is all we want at MANNA.

We wonder why this is going under the radar.
We simply like how FG is systematically dealing with DISCOs

First off, the Power of Attorney has been withdrawn from BPE and given to MOFI, under the direct supervision of the ministry of finance.
This has made MOFI the highest shareholder on behalf of the government.

By virtue of it power, the CEO of MOFI has sacked the directors of DISCOs and asked for the audited financial accounts for the last 3 years.
There is also the recapitalization idea the FG is dangling.

The point of the story is, whether through recapitalization wahala or financial impropriety of their books, the end game is the withdrawal of the licenses of DISCOs by FG with the possibility of selling them off

Interesting days ahead 😊😊😊....OPE.

God bless Nigeria 🇳🇬
Face your asslicking and stop spreading false info.
Only the directors appointed by BPE are to be removed.
And it's because control of the 40% shares have been removed from BPE by virtue of the repeal of the Electricity Act of 2005 by the previous NASS. The shares are to be domiciled with the MoF which means all the assets and liabilities that accrues to FG by virtue of those shares will now be controlled by the MoF through its board.

Blvck man is going nowhere yet.

Perhaps in the next 1000 years. They will have the CLUE of how to start getting their shiiits right.

For now, we will fold our arms, watch and let them continue with their foolishness and uselessness.

OK, let me explain it. They want to dance DISCO in the REAGGE party so that electricity will be in abundance, cheaper than a bottle of beer.

What the FG has done is within her right as a major shareholder in a company. The law guiding the sector has led to certain changes, the right thing is to update all records.

This power sector and it's problems will never go away.

They want to return the control of the 0ower sector to fgn like before and we all know how power was in Nigeria before now.

Giving power back to friends and cronies will kill all the progress already made in the power sector.

The FG is supposed to focus of regulation and not management.

Nigeria keep changing regulations in every new government and this is the reason why foreign investors are running away because the Nigerian market is worst than fx. They are making drastic changes over night and no business can survive such turbulent economic decisions.

All this is simply about "it is our turn to chop from the national cake" no more no less!

After all years, another government will enter start everything all over again.

It is better for Nigeria to change its ruling term to 8years per 1 term and 2 terms making it 16years at once because all this every day change of government and every day change of policy is too expensive for Nigeria.

Nigeria's cost of government is too costly and with this poverty is ensured because there will always be No money left for any development 😭

This is our problems. Illiteracy.

This is not about "names" gej or pmb grin

Pay attention, Nigeria now use meter and that has solved all Nigeria's power problems.

Tbe only reason why in some areas, power is not steady is simply because of income power!

The index is saying that over 85% of the total population of Nigeria is below poverty line and this simply means that they can not afford to pay for power.

Man wey never see food chop na electricity em wan come pay? shocked

I don't have time to be trying to educate idiots especially the ones with slowpoke wickedness. No insults intended 🙏

You are supposed to elaborate based on the topic in discussion but you seem to be out of touch grin

Anyways, it's well understood, after all, we also know that over 90% of Nigerian graduates are unemployable which explains the reality we see shocked

Try and dedicate more time to education because it gives balance in modern world.

Knowing how to read and write without the ability of (comprehension) is equal to using the toilet without cleaning ur ass like you just displayed😭

Surprising that discos do not have audited accounts dating back to at least 3 years including the supposedly well run ones. Red flag!

40% ownership of discos controlled by Wale Edun through MOFI is the end game of this move. Why not leave it under BPE afterall its DG was just removed and a new one installed. How many ventures and enterprises does MOFI want to oversee? You can begin to see a clear pattern in the way MOFI is getting involved in many strategic areas of the economy.

If it leads to improvement in the economy and massive gains, why not. However, is it sustainable over a longer period of time? Time will tell

What this means is more job to the ministry of finance... But, are they ready to take ownership of this job role? Or just to directly get the remittances from the Discos and share it like one of their political bread?
If the MOFI would do good accounting of the funds as been received from the Discos, and the government can use the returns to improve the power sector, thereby improving the general well being of its citizens, we would appreciate it.

We are watching...
