I don't think this is enough reason to start calling for tinubu to resign since insecurity was a problem before he came in and it isn't something that can be solved easily but that doesn't make him immune to criticism.

It is more than enough reason to call for his resignation. These excuses are not acceptable.

Some of us kicked against Buhari's stay in office after his inept, failed administration did nothing to solve the insecurity this country has been plagued with for several years. Bola Tinubu was APC 'national leader' for 8 years and he also did nothing to push for a solution because he had his eye on power - and he did not want to offend or criticize Buhari. These men were never the right men for the job they wanted.

Call a spade a spade. Instead of calling for prayers like you did in rounding up your post - call for hard action instead.

The North will continue to reject it. Jonathan wanted to do that but the North will never agree to let go the southern oil. True federalism is the only way out. Let states handle their own resources and control their own security forces and then remit to the center on a monthly basis. The north is always feeling cheated.

There is a Navy Lieutenant Commander I know. All he does is car importation business and shortlet rentals. He is short, overweight and has zero interest in the security dayjob the government wastes taxpayers money on him for.
This is just a mid ranking officer (equivalent of Major in the army) already useless and merely using the military as an enabler for his private business, then you now talk of those stinkingly corrupt, obese and worthless Generals, Admirals and Marshalls.
On the lower end of the ladder, the foot soldiers too are doing kidnappings and robbery as their own side hustles.
What about the citizens who are the unfortunate victims of this sleaze?
When they get the opportunity to make a change to the entire system via the ballot, they all of a sudden remember with so much passion what tribes they are and what religions they adhere to... Hence the vicious cycle continues...

Nigeria can never change beyond what we see today except we separate the north from the south as it was in the beginning. The separation must come for us to move forward. At least by laws like state police and resource control.

Tinubu will not even mind the mad man and his ashawo daughters. He should have 100m but he will not want to pay it because he can simply marry and have more children

All these sympathetic plea and cries won't stop anything. We all know what the problems are but we are too scared to even talk about it. So please you all should stop the hypocrisy and start telling yourselves the truth. Every problem in this country starts in the north and it can only end in the North. Even the problems in other parts are created by the north. When this kidnapping of a thing started, some northern elders were justifying their claims. The north only has power when it comes to other parts but lack the temerity to deal with their own problems. When you artificially impoverish your people and keep giving birthday to children you can't train, those children will come back to haunt the few of them like our brother here who is training his own children. Until we accept these hard truths, calamity will continue to befall them.
