Just tell us you got some yams free of charge!

One of those tubers is not less than #1300 in most parts of the South.

Except the yams are smaller than the picture is letting on...! Still, that's a shockingly cheap purchase.

cry

observe the yam properly you'll discover that some have burns around it.
these are probably whatever left from those yam fulani herdsmen burnt when they attacked the Benue people around last week or so.
the owner is just selling it off to avoid it rotting and to survive idp.
pathetic for Benue people.
e no go better for fulani herdsmen
e no go better for Tinubu.

While returning back to base from my father's burial, I decided to get a few yams.

If not for insecurity, Nigerians have no reasons to experience inflation in the price of food stuff.

20 fresh tubbers. I already gave out some to my neighbors as it's precious gift in this part of the country.
That's why Benue State is called 'FOOD BASKET OF THE NATION'.

Benue land is very fertile. Food basket of the nation. Imagine if we had functional rail to move farm produce in bulk from Benue to Lagos in no time and petroleum products from Lagos to Benue

God will help us
Exactly. Basically, the supply chain from farmers to the consumer E2E.

It's so sad middle men.are the problem of this country , yoruba , igbo and Hausa middle men , but benue people are the nicest purest heart people in Nigeria they don't act like they are nigerians sincerly. I advise aby one to marry a benue lady you will surely enjoy your marriage and thier females are not money greedy desperate and loving like other of the three major tribes do your research on the educated Christian benue females

Market Unions in Benin City are responsible for the high cost of foodstuffs and essential commodities.

Middlemen are responsible for the inflation.

It's the cost of transportation and logistics. And if they are making much money, then it's an avenue for anybody to make money too.

A friend of mine who served in benue state said he did not lack food!
He showed me a tuber of yam that is currently sold for 2k and told me it's just #150 shocked shocked
Benue just needs the basic necessities like constant power, adequate security and accessible roads from their rural areas!
The earlier the senate institutes an independent state and LGA policing system, the better!
