Fellow Nigerians, it saddens me to hear how bandits are kidnapping people in the north, east, west, only south south (Niger delta) is free from kidnapping issues.

My question is; could hardship be the reason for banditry and kidnapping?

If Yes, does it mean there were no kidnapping issues when our government was doing fairly better than now?

Please let's discuss without insults...

What could be the cause of these issues and what solution do you think can be proffered.

Nigeria government caused it all.

The more the poverty creation by APC, the more the insecurity!

APC has ruined Nigeria

Yes, hardship and poverty are major cause of all challenges we are facing today in Nigeria.

When there is too much hunger in the land, people became too desperate and will do anything to survive.

Meanwhile, our government are using severe hunger to put us in check for their own every 4 years ambition.

We Nigerians must not gree for them again.

As much as apc has done so many damages to this nation, does it mean there were no insecurity and kidnapping during pdp regime?

There will always be insecurity however it was minimal during PDP years.

Major insecurity started with Bokoharam/ chibok girls kidnapping and these were politically motivated by the North to kick out GEJ but unfortunately, it went out of control!

In my own opinion, several things that bring insecurity

1. Poor Parenting: while some of us were growing up, our parents were mini Lord, there are stuffs you couldn't even man up to own until you leave their house but these days a 10-year-old is already dreaming of becoming a big boy that drives the biggest cars

2. Societal pressure: There is massive pressure from the society, we only regard people with money even if they are less intelligent or educated, we just want to make money but we don't know how to, so many persons move into various crimes to fund this lifestyle

3. Government laxity: Our government are always reactive, relaxed and ignore signs of wrongdoing, instead they would rather enrich themselves to stupor while their people are being enmeshed in untold poverty. There are too many militia groups in the country and these groups have varying weapons, so when they are hungry they just bring out some of them and hit the street. This is just a few of it sha

The solution to all these lies in the problem though

Nigeria has a large poor underclass, a tiny middle-class and a scanty upper class.

It is also an economy that is dependent on one source of income

This combine to prevent massive investment in jobs.

Result; a large number of ldle hands for the devil to use
