This is not time to celebrate development in Ibadan

We're grieving at the moment

There's time for everything

Leave them to be honing in their brown roof enclaves. People that have no means of escaping poverty, where do you think they will get the means to travel out and see the developments in other regions?

Open drainage again

When will Nigerian leaders grow into the 21st century?

Open gutters are an environmental eyesore, a health risk and a safety risk !!!

But why tint (colour) the pictures? Nigerians are fond of telling untrue stories about the places they photograph and place online. Why?

No hating really but don't you guys work on your streets

Not a single streets is done on this long span of roads

Growing up in port Harcourt all our streets were tarred.. Not a single sign any streets have been tarred before

I think how we see roads in SS/SE is different from SW and North really
Ibadan is 3080km² while Port Harcourt is 369km²..

Don't compare the 2.

There can be 8 Port Harcourts inside Ibadan.

These snake like roads that now dot the landscape nationwide. More efforts should be taken to improve landscaping and steps should be taken to instill a culture of cleanliness in our neighborhoods.

you can drive for two hours inside Ibadan without getting to your destination. I have been to 29 states in Nigeria and not that I passed through there. I worked in many states with Nigeria biggest mobile network operator. Try and visit Ibadan and take a bike to take you round but you are going to pay 15k.

Thank you very much. I was about saying the same thing when I stumbled upon your comment. For christ sake, what kind of road is this? More like suicide road, so barren, signs, no consideration for pedestrians.
These foreign contractors will just be seeing Nigeria as a zoo.
They know fully well that jobs like this is not acceptable in their countries.
Lots of these politicians travels alot, and see how roads are being done, only for them to come back home and construct rubbish.

It's a federal road nothing there to celebrate

I always think it's a state's road.

Is General Gas - Ojuirin road also a federal road?

Thaks for the clarification

The drainage should be covered too, this is 2024. You ever wonder how all pure water plastic bags , water bottles find their ways into the drainage thereby causing blockages during rainy season..

No pedestrians footpath? All our roads by now should come with footpath dedicated for walk and cycling. Also, no more open gutters. The era of such roads is gone.

Good job in Oyo. Evidence of infrastructural development when your capital city is well invested.

Ogun has been static with almost zero development as evidenced by lack of investment in the capital city.
