"FESTIVAL OF FIRE"

This is the season, be careful of how you handle flammable objects. Arsonists also use this period to perpetuate crime.
It's likely from an electric wiring connection. When one see how electrical wirings connections and splices are done in Nigerian markets, it's very easy to understand how easy it is for those market to go up in flames.

Before anyone makes this about tribe and attack on the Igbos like one unfortunate guy on Twitter has already done, the CEO of Mandilas is a Yoruba person and a lot of Yorubas operate there

Those people are extremely terrible and their case is beyond redemption.

You are late. That fire started around 1pm when i was driving past. Almost very little people around so i expect it to burn out of control because of lack of people around to control the fires.
Aside expecting it to burn completely what other efforts did u put when u saw it?

Re: Part Of Mandilas Market Lagos On Fire by Sctests: 3:31pm On Jan 21
Market relocation loading.

They burnt markets during the elections and we know the agberoes who did it were paid by government.

Any further market fire can no longer be considered to be caused by accidents.

A journey that should not have taken igbos not more than 1 hour is now taking them more than 10 years ,let igbos not behave like the children of Israel that spent 40 years in the wilderness over a journey that is not supposed to take more than 1 hour because of lack of faith , initiatives, creativity and fear of the Egyptians of today.

It will be wrong to attribute this fire as targeting the Igbos.

Mind you, not only Igbos do business there.

Lack of sensitisation and orientation on the basis preventive skills of fire and a system that works.

Why should it take the fire service hours before reaching the building talk less of extinguishing the fire.

My condolences to those who have lost properties.

Those markets need to be decongested. Putting generators above ground level is wrong.

Oga you are very insecure. That person was clear about his messge and i did not see any ethnic bashing there. He stated the obvious. What has the CEO of mandilas got to do with the fire out break. Is it mandilas building that got burnt?

can you tell yourself the percentage of people by tribe that owns shops in that plaza... 80 percent igbos. At the end who suffer the loss most? Obvious truth now sound like tribalism in your ears.

He drove past it since 'him no get property/business there'. I doubt he'd say the same thing if he owned a shop there.

It's one or two Igbo traders at that same market that CAUSES and BENEFITS from such fire outbreak.
It was always the case years back wen i was still in 9ja,in port Harcourt (mile1/2 market). Until we uncovered their dids..
