There's a big deal in the market already now (if you know you know). A lot of people are cashing out. However, if you are still afraid of the glut season, you better dust your boots and put your hands to work. I'm telling you, it will pay off eventually. |

For some that have been asking me questions privately, I promised to answer you here so we all can benefit from it. As far as I'm concerned, organic manure (sourced from poultry liter, rabbit liter or other animal liters) should be your primary source of nutrient on your field. You should only support with a few other synthetic or chemical based nutrient. With this, you would be able to remarkably reduce your cost and also boast of a more healthy and safer produce. |

The prediction for food insecurity is getting even more serious, the nation can only depend on farmers for a way out. Is this not a win-win situation? |

Good evening farmers, please be careful of the source where you buy your farm inputs these days (especially fertilizers, fungicides and insecticides), there are lots of adulterated stuff in the market. I hope we know what damage these fake inputs can do on our farms. This call is coming based on the experience of several farmers in just this week. |

folmus:. It is not a residential area, just a few farm houses and structures around. But then.... Though it may not be cheap or easy to come by, but with the trend of insecurity in the country these days, is it not safer to find one's farm not to far from home or atleast fairly around residential area? |

They look amazing, congrats on all your hard work! I don't have space outdoors but I grow tomatoes indoors using potting soil containers or hydroponics. Those interested in doing the same, can check out this article https://ponicsarea.com/how-to-grow-hydroponic-tomatoes/ |

Hello nairalanders, I have over the years consulted for people and referred them to where to get inputs and equipments on the farm, but have been met with a lot of stories from these farmers. We however decided to take delivery of some of these items directly from importers and get them across to farmers and this step has changed the narrative overthe past months. The call to make it public so as to allow more farmers benefit from this step of ours have gotten to us. |

Obatobi1:Hello do you mean 8,000 seeds that you planted if yes how many cracks or bag did you harvest and was it on 4plot |
| Re: Bountiful First Harvest In My Tomato Farm by Obatobi1(op): 12:59pm On Jun 11, 2024 |
Mavix1994:So, about 10000 seeds was planted, we had factored in germination rate and mortality into the equation, so we were able to arrive at that figure. We also confirmed the figure by stand count. We had over 300 crates of harvest from the population. |
