As at when I graduated from the school in 2019, this plate of food was N300. So something took me to the school today and I went to eat in the same restaurant. How come in just 4 years+ the plate is now N1200?

Someone that was earning N30,000 in 2019, is he/she earning N120,000 now? To be able to meet up with the economic realities?

Na wa o with the level of inflation going on in the country.

EVEN IF YOU SAY YOU WANT TO FARM CASSAVA, COST OF LABOUR WILL MAKE YOU RUN MAD, AS AT ONE YEAR YEAR AGO WITH N40,000 YOU CAN CLEAR ONE ACRE OF LAND, DO RIDGES AND PLANT YOUR CASSAVA STEM, BUT AS AT THIS PERIOD TO CLEAR JUST ONE PLOT, LABOUR WILL BE CHARGING YOU N15,000 TALK MORE OF ONE ACRE WHICH IS SIX (6) PLOTS. AFTER CLEARING THEY WILL ASK FOR ANOTHER N40 -N50K TO DO THE RIDGES FOR YOU. WILL YOU BLAME THEM?, THE ANSWER IS NO, THE INFLATION RATE IS REALLY HIGH AND SERIOUSLY BITING HARD ON POOR NIGERIANS. Gardening is FARMING. Planting yam or ugwu in a bag is farming. It doesn't cost Naira 20 to do that given that most already have the supplies to do this ready available where they live.

You are joking right? Or just jesting about...do you know that the cost implications of farming? The same dollar rates affects farmers more especially if you are in urban areas!

Farming isn't that easy if you are not equipped with resources and the know how.

The guy is just yearning dust! Farming is not easy even at subsistence level. Garden farming he's taking about will cost you good money if the crops are to survive cos you have to water and spray chemicals to kill insects. Also fertilizers are needed. You also need space so that sunlight will be present and vigilant eyes to safeguard it. That's just a top of the iceberg to farm in the city. Am into subsistence farming so I get pissed off when people sound like it's easy.
