It is funny. I was reading some of those comments and I couldn't help myself. I was just laughing and laughing. Bench Osimhen? He is the problem of this attack? BLA BLA BLA

I have always said that Osimhen is more than just about Goals. Always pointed it out but it seems some didn't understand what I meant.

Osimhen has one goal but his overall plays for this Super Eagles team is already becoming legendary and is the reason we are where we are right now in CIV and the reason we can win this title.

I once said in 2022 on Twitter, that CIV 2023 will be Osimhen's tournament. He is the best and he is proving it game after game.

He will resume scoring again from the quarter finals.
Ok
Will Morocco 2025 also be his tournament ?
What of FiFA World Cup 2026 ?
Do you think we can get a medal at the World Cup

Just got off the phone with Osimhen this morning. He told me that after he snatch the ball from that defender, he was fouled. If he had gone down, it would have been a straight red for the defender. But as he was about to go down, he remembered millions of Ghanaians were watching, hoping hopelessly to see Nigeria’s downfall, so he got up and put the pass on a plate for Lookman and yelled, “AKWABA, the ball na your dinner, Chop am like jollof pasta”

I greet this house in the name of the Lord.

I am late and I am sorry. But I am here and what a weekend it is for Nigeria.

Peseiro, who I don't rate, has produced the best defensive setup I have ever seen the Super Eagles execute in the last couple of years. Kudos to him.

Our defense needs to watch out for Mabululu, the Angolan striker. He knows how to finish.

The law good afternoon you make compelling arguments but I'm with egbon Kog45 on this Kanu matter.

Papilo in SE considering his status and standing in the game didn't do enough for me. In 2000 that was undoubtedly his best tournament for the SE who showed up when we were on the brink of getting knocked out by Senegal? Aghahowa and Oliseh to the rescue. I struggle to pick clutch moments Kanu outside of the Olympics had for the national team. Is my take controversial maybe but it's not without some facts to back it up.

Mujtahida:
Haaa don't say this ooo. Kanu was good. The fact he didn't score Afcon goal does not diminish his impact. I remember then Kanu comes in and the dynamics of a game changes.

He's arguably the most intelligent attacker Nigeria has ever had. And to have battled that heart issue and play with such sleekness and power, Kanu had steel.

Yes the job of a striker is to score goals and so far in this tournament Osimhen has done extremely well cuz our goals had Osimhen imprints, right from EG to Cameroon.

He scored EG,was fouled for our penalty against CIV,forced GB to score own goal and wrestled to give that assist to Lookman.

Hope to see him scoring against Angola but his play so far, especially against Cameroon gave Lookman freedom to operate.

Sincerely KANU has his moments, and one of those moments was against Cameroon, that assist to Utaka. Also he had remarkable moments with Victor Agali during 2002 WC qualifications but talking eagles generally, mentioning real warriors Kanu name is debatable.

Francis Uzoho has lost it,too much difference between him and Nwabili.....for real stability in goalkeeper department we need Christian Nwoke and Osayi Kingdom in eagles mix

Iwobi has sacrificed alot of his traditional game for the team. The pre-assist for our second goal yesterday shows what he's capable of when played nearer the forwards but I think his tactical discipline and willingness to play for the team is making everyone unfairly target him for criticism.

Mujtahida:
I like this comment. Some daft people are attacking Iwobi. The thing pain me

Elder I dobale. Osimhen was doing this and more for Napoli when that moniker hold ground for him talk. I just dey see him now dey mention pressing and all round play and how it's helping the team. If SI Unit of match pressing is measured in OSI. What he has applied in this Afcon is just 4 OSI compared to 10 OSI he gives in Napoli shirt. I wonder wetin him go talk when the pressing reach 5-6 OSI sef.

You watched that game against Senegal, it was at the dying minute Agahowa saving grace delivered us. I remember vividly a journalist on NTA saying "God bless Agahowa".

I agree wholeheartedly, excellent contribution to the SE , his position indisputable.

But imagine yourself sitting in front of the HO Recruitment for an EPL club, etc And they will say very good, but how many Goals did he score he is a number 9.

What will you say 😲

Because for every player in consideration there will be 5 others being compared to you.

In all honesty for VO it's not great , however, it becomes insignificant and academic when he get back to Napoli and starts banging in goals plentiful.

If he doesn't the football ⚽ world has a short memory.

Lookman was born in england
Omanambala:
Lookman is not a foreign born. He was born in Nigeria and played soccer for Naija before he left for England.

As for Chukwueze, he has been poor.

The two times he played those goal kicks he caused a clash of heads between our players. The first was between Aina and Onyeka. The second was between Osimhen and I think Bassey. His goal-kick range was short. When the Angolan goalkeeper came on after their first-choice goalkeeper got an early red card, he made a beautiful save immediately. Mind you this Angolan second-choice was also their previous first-choice goalkeeper in their last AFCON appearance. It's not a question of confidence but a question of hunger. Uzoho is not hungry for the opportunity to improve. And no wonder he could say "if e easy, make Oyinbo sign you" . I want to ask him now that "so as oyinbo sign you now, you think say that na all, you think say na final bus stop, you think say you don arrive "

It's not controversial at all. It's just a perspective and an argument. But if you use that same eye and run the same on others of that generation, you will likely come up with the same assessment
