Traffic is a normal occurrence all over the world and ambulances and fire fighters face such obstacle during operations, or do they fly in high traffic cities?

I have personally made way for ambulance and fire fighters in more than 100 occasions and other motorist did same.

Another thread to bash Nigeria and Africa, don't you people get tired. Last time I check people give way when they hear siren in Nigeria. So I don't understand why this video from Netherlands is news and even on front page if not just another avenue to praise oyinbos and post self hating comments.

It is like this in all countries but Nigerian driver dont read and pass exams for driving tests. It is in your driver's test exams manual. Go check FRSC BOOK. If you dont practice what you read how is that govt problem. They will make you a scape goat one day.

Same thing in the US. All motorists must park in one side to give way to ambulances and emergency vehicles.

Same thing is practice in America here
People give way for fire fighters truck, ambulance and police cars on siren that are on emergency

And the best part all traffic light turn green so their is free flow of traffic

It's the same thing in the US, it's the law that every motorists must obey for any emergency vehicles which includes Police Vehicles, Fire Fighters and Ambulance Vehicles.

Here in the U.S and I think most developed nations are like this.

This is a norm in a civilized clime. It’s the Law, you must yield to police, ambulance and fire trucks when on emergency. Not in my dear country wher every tom and manliness blaze on siren.

In US, at a stop sign everybody stops and you go as you arrived there.

It’s a no to your last paragraph. Understand the difference between a stop sign and stop all way. There is a huge difference between the two.

That’s how they do in USA too not only Netherlands.

It is difficult to watch a video with a moving signature at the centre of the screen.

Apart from the care for your fellow man to make sure that they get the urgent care they need, its also against the law not to obey ambulance and emergency road vehicles. Sometimes the problem in Nigeria is the abuse of these emergency vehicles (mostly by politicians, police on non emergencies and by banks carrying money) zipping through traffic which maybe none emergency situations.
