Nope Lana. It's Morocco/SA vs Cape Verde.

CIV awaits the winner of Mali vs Burkina Faso.

safarigirl:

They actually meet Cape Verde

It's Cape Verde vs. Ivory Coast

Senegal go comot them. That team need serious rebuild and influx of younger players

The worst in that midfield is kessie, dude is so washed that I couldn’t believe my eyes during their first game with Guinea 🇬🇳

He looked heavy, slow and unfit unlike the kessie I use to knw at Atalanta and Milan few seasons ago

Thanks for the welcome Brother. And indeed, Senegal being the better team coming into this tie only lasted for the first half. Those "some factors that could tilt it the other way" eventually came into play.

CIV fought for their pride. They had the 4-0 bashing at the hands of Equatorial Guinea at the back of their minds. They needed a response desperately and they got it.

Joebie:
Welcome bro.

Senegal is the better team absolutely. However some factors could tilt it the other way.

I would rather want us to meet Senegal if we get there.

your second paragraph summarized their performance tonight

They balled their hearts out and the inclusion of Haller was of great advantage to them. His presence unsettled Koulibaly and his defense partners

Oma Akatugba was on Twitter trying to sell some BS that Nwabali is not better than Uzoho, by the time they brought out clips of Uzoho gaffes, omo, abeg we cannot have that calamity in goal against Angola. Mbalalu abi wetin, go use am do nonsense.

One guy said that Uzoho has been to 3 different AFCONS and he has never been first choice at any of them. In 2019, Akpeyi had the #1 shirt over him, in 2021, Okoye had the shirt over him, and now, Nwabali is the preferred number one.

How have you done back up to 3 different goalies in 6 years if you're actually decent?

Kessie, Pepe and Haller were the game changers for CIV.

I have to give it to Ivory Coast's coach actually, that he was able to keep his top guys on the bench up till 70 minutes. That was some good tactic, but more importantly, the likes of Fofana and Diakkite really helped that plan by holding it down.

In all, they did their country proud.

I like playing South Africa because their tears dey sweet me. I hope we beat Angola, and that SA beats Morocco and Cape Verde. SA beating those two might not be feasible but we dare to dream.
