Curtisaxel10:At the root core, it's political. At least our banter with Ghana is not political just friendly (after 1982) but Morocco and Algeria have been at loggerheads politically. |

In case of any injury to Osimhen, can we really rely on Onuachu to lead the lines because it seems the only role he comes in to play is to help see off a match(time wasting) and not to score goals. 1 Like 1 Share |

I've been studying the profile of the Angolan coach Pedro Goncalves. He's looking like the next Havre Renard. Here me out He comes from the rich Sportin Lisbon lineage where worked as a scout and youth team coach. Trained some of the best young talents in world football like Bruma, Jao Mario, Eric Dier and Rafael Leao. At some point he was close to convincing Leao to play for Angola. He worked his way up the ladder at Angola from an academy to U17 then U20s/23/Chan and now main team. He has successfully brought to fore a new generation of Angola players while instilling a fantastic style of play which we have witnessed. 6 of his U17 boys are in this AFCON. His contract ends soon and he's obviously not renewing. At 47, I feel he's the ideal candidate to replace Peseiro, who could leave post Afcon. Young Portuguese coaches are very much in vogue. There are many of them working behind the scenes at Arsenal and Man city and Liverpool are hustling to get on in Ruben Amorin. 6 Likes |

Barryseal: Our imposing and compact style of football will see us over Angola. This Angolan coach may have done well for a team like Angola, but that doesn't mean he is good enough to replace Peseiro. Some coaches do better with managing relatively small teams. 12 Likes 2 Shares |

ChrisKels:Very good. Can play anywhere upfront but he loves to bend it in with his right after one or two touches. Very sweet 1st touch. Doesn't waste time once ball lands at his feet. Also good with his head if he's not taking ck himself. Accurate long passes to opposite wing. The mendem love selecting him anytime it comes to evening or morning football. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Icon4s: I just thought I should put it out there, not that I trust we have brilliant HRs at NFF who can identify a next gen coach. We can scuff at him working in Luanda but we all know some of the best coaches started their journey from relative obscurity. Someone identified Klopp at Mainz and made him the& manager at Dortmund. Mourinho started at Uniao de liera before Porto spotted his talent. The Angola coach looks brilliant and he is one to watch out for wherever he goes. |

Icon4s: Best defence in the tournament. Only one goal conceded and that was in our first game. Consequent games have seen opponents starved of the 18-yard box, how much more a goal. Very compact defensive line. Angola may find it hard to penetrate that. I'm still hopeful Nwabali will be back in time. He trained fully yesterday, the knee knock may be healed by Friday. Angola's #1 Goalkeeper will also not be in the lineup because of his red card, so, this may be good for us, as long as his second is not an Ejide to his Enyeama. 4 Likes 1 Share |
