Imo state banned okada during okorocha tenure but in the last few years okada has returned to Owerri as a major means of transportation. Cities of Onitsha, Enugu, Awka and even Abakaliki, Asaba, etc has banned okada and maintained it but the ban failed in imo state due to rise in poverty and lack basic infrastructures .

But i can't imagine what the southeast would look like by the time all the igbo bikemen in lagos must have relocated back to the southeast with their bikes, as you know the okada business has been banned in lagos state.
you know this business is mostly dominated by our fellow igbo brothers and thier close cousin namely The Fulanis from Niger Republic.

now that this business venture has been banned in lagos for good... so which way my brother, and I'm sure oyo state will soon follow suit.

inevitably this will happen to okada riders in Lagos. .

I think den village go start to dey sweet oo. You know when all old boys don come back from lagos . No more forming lagos millionaires . Them and their bikes go con stand gidigba for their village without shaking. Abeg village go sweet too much, village go sweet die.

Wetin dey lagos sef

Hmm sorry I just finished a whole bottle of liqueur.
I'm not sure I know what I'm typing. But I hope I'm still making sense

Oga, there's hunger in the land.

If you think that bikes are crawling back into Owerri due to abject penury, visit the town and empower people. Lift them out of poverty and they will appreciate you.

Stop creating needless threads on Nairaland like a lunatic who just escaped the asylum.

U were on the Ibadan thread running some analysis as to why and why
Lets do same analysis here too...How come the billionaires in Owerri,Mbaise or Orlu choose to ride okada instead going out with their G-Wagon?

Its about our region, how can we develop it bro

Obviously, you didn't get that from this moniker because no reasonable Imo son or daughter goes about saying we are a state of billionaires. There are rich and poor people everywhere. You need to go and check yourself before you wreck yourself.

BTW, I will maintain what I wrote about Ibadan: no extremely wealthy man lives in brown roof shacks. It's high time you lots snapped out of this madness. I have been to Ibadan several times - yes, it has both nice and terrible sides.
