I've been trying to get the phone number attached to my NIN changed so that I'll be able to log in to the NIMC mobile app and apply for a NIN card.

The number currently attached is no longer accessible to me and I can't retrieve it.

I went to the NIN office at the Local Government Secretariat at Asaba and paid around #600 to do the change since Jan 12 but it's still not reflected up till now.

The app still shows the former number and doesn't recognize the current one.

I've gone to the office to complain two weeks ago (Feb 7) and I was given the original slip and told it'll reflect within a few more days. They collected my details saying they'll have to do an "accreditation" of sorts.

Up till now, the change still hasn't reflected and I'm currently not in Asaba. I'm getting kinda frustrated as some NIN offices I went to within my current location (Ekpoma, Edo state) were asking for around 10k to "hasten" the change.

Has anyone else had an experience with change of number? How long did it take?

Where you required to submit an affidavit or police report?

Has the phone number been updated? Because I have a similar issue..

Yes, i was able to change mine. i paid N3k, thumb printed again and my pic recaptured. And it reflect in 2~3days time.

At any NIN enrollment centre near you. probably their main office in ur state capital or council area.
