So na so Awoniyi for Dey chop bench.

Angola had the plan to weaken Osimhen early by inflicting him blows. The ref had a plan to keep the cards down. Angola probably deserved a red today.

The fact is you guys overrated Mabululu and co. No be when them see space dem go show? Also forgetting that the scoreline is not reflecting how we ran down this defence. Osimhen should have a Hattrick in this game but see how all went.

Just a genuinely horrible coach. A labour watching his team.
A coach with Moffi, Iheanacho, etc, should have more use for them than just waste timers.
Better coaches don go house. Horrible coach don enter semi

Osimhen was not at his best today, maybe due to fatigue from cameroon’s game..hope im right sha..his major undoing is not finding the back of the net

Of course, if you can't pass nor cross, you shouldn't be a footballer. His porous decision making almost cost us this game. We should have been far ahead!!
Kog45:
He is doing everything right but most important thing like passing and crossing ball properly damn issue then he is not doing it right baba Marjoribank.

i like peseiro but then he should be flexible..his substitution is good but too late and to onesidedly repetitive..
we need an iheanacho instead of an Aribo, we need a moffi instead of an onuachu…he should stop allowing opponents grow into the game in the dying minutes, we can not always be lucky ooo..
with his defensive setup, he may not have confidence in Iheanancho and Moffi tracking back defensively

That’s the point. Seems Onuachu is given the one instruction to hold on the the ball and delay play. Peseiro gave Angola too much respect.
We dominated the game until 20minutes into the second half.

But it really shouldn’t have been. Osimhen had no business being offsides for his goal. The chance that Lookman played him on should have been converted.

Sanusi had a good chance as well.

I’ve said it all the time, through out this AFCON we’ve created enough chances to win every game by at least 2 goals.

JP needs to freshen things up. Try KC, Onyedika, or Moffi.
Onyedika for who? Moffi for who? I won’t even swap Simon or Ademola for Nacho because he doesn’t have Simon industry and Lookman is so high on confidence

The weather is hot. With this formation he should not be playing more than 80 minutes!

Not going to drag osimhen

But...

His work rate and dedication is 100% but his decision making and intelligence as a striker is zero..

very true, this game should have ended 3-0, we still have issues converting. For me this team has achieved, if we can solve our attacking issues by making lookman a false 9 may be we could see more goals
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 8:13pm On Feb 02, 2024
Because Angola were making changes progressively why Jpes kept watching. This kind coaching will make us pay dearly in future. We have seen this before.

Iwobi had an average game attacking wise, but boy this was his best defensive game I've ever seen. The way he kept knicking the balls away, no wonder he gassed out within 1hr.
