Good to see FG's earnest commitment to complete work on all Refineries so they can start operation this year.

It will be a great feat having all refineries including Dangote working this year.
which "earnest commitment" are you referring to?

how far with PH that they said will be ready by december 2023?

Yeah. You come here to praise politicians and be their Zombies.
It is hypocrisy to support APC politicians and when they are caught doing wrong, you excuse it under the claim that all politicians are the same

You've probably mistaken me for another nairalander. I've never praised any politician here. I'm always a critic of any govt in power. You don't know me, I don't know you. Stop taking it personal. You're now sounding like a fool. Gerrat jor!

Liar never tire these people.
I don't blame you people I blame Nigerians that voted for you
Re: NNPCL To Complete Warri Refinery Q1 2024 by Dsimmer:
What's the nonsense these people are saying?

Tinubu's worst mistake was not doing cleanup at the nnpc and jailing them.

As I previously said, I don't want to hear about any old refineries.

They all should be privatised.

New refineries investment should be focused on.. modular refineries should be built too.

I wonder when the Minister of State for Oil would begin to tell himself some hard truths, the Refinery if it works at all will end up being a liability than an asset.
As optimistic as I'm towards anything happening in Nigeria, there are two things I know will never ever work if it's still managed by the government.
Ajaokuta steel and the Refinery scrap metal are 2 bogus investment that will continue to be white elephant projects used in Squandering our very very scarce resources.
I always use the story of LAWMA back in the days when Asiwaju took over governance in Lagos state.
No matter the magic he tried to perform with waste disposal In Lagos,it just didn't work until he enlisted what's now PSP operators.
Although the LAWMA example looks too simplistic, but I daresay Ajaokuta and The Refineries have deferred all the solutions employed since 1999,I wonder why anything will change with the same personnel who have been in charge since 1999.
Asiwaju should urgently sell off a large % of Nigeria's ownership of the Refinery while totally selling off the Ajaokuta steel scrap.
God bless Nigeria......
Dem never sell Ajaokuta before? What did we gain from there? Nothing! And we ended up losing $400m to those who bought it and didn't produce a single rod to address our industrial steel needs?

How many things have been sold and nothing happened? Has the distribution arm of power value chain improved? The aluminum company in Akwa Ibom nko? Has privatization ever worked in our favor? It's simple. Give the private sector or a consultant the platform to run and they're supervised.

FYI, NNPCL is run like a private entity right now via PIA. So, let's give them a chance.
