Even if you disrespect the culture,it is none of my business and I wouldn't lose sleep cos an anonymous person did so on fvcking nairaland.....My own is, you are not the gatekeeper of music, music is an art and people fvck with it differently....I fit dey gbadun country music on Saturday morning then vibe to Shallipopi for hot afternoon

Where is the evidence and who carried out the stats, here goes the dumb profiling again....Lool,he thinks people for upper wey carry obapluto song or his entire music for head are all gen Z or yahoo boys...

If artist, music or sound wey una no like blow,Na always PR not talent...

Music is an art, but even then it's not entirely free-form. There are conventions you must follow. Otherwise you end up making 'noise'. You keep assuming I have this romantic belief in my head of what music should sound like, which is wrong. I don't care if you are making bubblegum music or deep music, it's all about the artistry for me. I should be able to sense the 'idea' behind what you are doing. There are artistes who make music i can't connect to, but I still respect the quality of work they put in. Taylor Swift is an example grin I don't discriminate, I critique.

Which talent Shallipopi get, abeg? I really want to know.

It goes deeper than WSJ.

Oct '23. DOJ expands probe into Tesla. https://www.cnbc.com/2023/10/23/tesla-discloses-doj-probes-over-vehicle-range-personal-benefits-more.html
Dec '23. FCC refuses to reinstate $800m in rural internet funding that it had approved for SpaceX in 2020 under Trump. https://www.pcmag.com/news/spacex-loses-appeal-to-receive-886-million-in-fcc-funding-for-starlink
Jan '24. Delaware Judge breaks precedence to cancel Musk's pay package. www.forbes.com/sites/petercohan/2024/01/31/after-adding-550-billion-to-teslas-value-court-cancels-elon-musks--558-billion-pay-deal

This is just in the last four months.
This does not account for the media hit pieces. Like the 2022 #MeToo missile - https://www.businessinsider.com/spacex-paid-250000-to-a-flight-attendant-who-accused-elon-musk-of-sexual-misconduct-2022-5
And I've not brought up the lawfare like the DOJ launching an employment discrimination lawsuit against SpaceX when SpaceX is bound by ITAR and the curious updates like Hertz selling off its Tesla rental car fleet and Sixt putting together a 250,000 car order that does not include a Tesla or the persistent attack on X. All of those have happened in the last couple of weeks as well.

I scoff when folks talk up the West like its some model or paragon of utopian conduct.
Like liberal democracy is this magical invention that is incompatible with authoritarianism.

In China, when you go against the establishment, you go missing.
In Russia, you fall off higher stories.
In the US, the combined weight of the government, media, intelligence agencies, civil society, and more come at you and attempt to destroy you by a thousand cuts.

If Elon had been a good little boy and not try to rock the boat, he'd still be a f*cking Rockstar smoking pot on podcasts and dancing weirdly during product presentations.
And he had to know better. We have the likes of Peter Thiel, Ken Griffin, and Larry Ellison--conservative billionaires who've learned it's best to stay sly. And know the day they ever try to pull a Trump, Elon, or Kanye--essentially become an outspoken lightning rod for conservative tripartite "God, Family, Country" values; everything they've worked for, their wealth, their enterprises will be rug-pulled.

Elon has to hang in there until a Republican Presidency and not incur any self-inflicted damage.
They'd come after him. His family. And his business lieutenants. I'm pretty sure the IC has embedded informants around him, like they did with Trump that led to the Mar-a-Lago raid and the Jack Smith special investigation.
Any slip up and he'd be lucky if he doesn't end up in an orange jumpsuit.
But they're not going to wait for that. That'd be a bonus--a gift from Santa if a smoking gun was unearthed. In the meantime, they're going to make him radioactive.

Next will be Elon Musk sexual assault probes for winking at a Newcaster on TV

This is American view. That $14k is life-changing in Nigerian labour market and will help someone Japa within 1 to 2 years. One man's meat is another man's poison.

All those performative outrage by Nigerians sha

Many of them work under the same situation for one-quarter of the money

When I spoke to someone (A man and business owner in Nigeria) he said that's basically what most jobs expects only that he said it openly. He should have tried to massage the egos of people and not say it that way

I discussed with another friend a woman but works in a top law firm in Nigeria. She was pissed that why will he write this JD, he must be canceled he is a bad person etc but in the course of our discussion she divulged that at her own job all what is written I'd what they actually do. She actually takes job home and can be called anytime over the weekend to work on a brief(while not being paid).

So she analyzed based on emotions of what was said and not the fact which is the compensation

How many jobs in Nigeria make N1.4m a month

Make we dey play

As an individual I don't care about flowery words or playing on my emotions just pay me

If MT had said in this company we will work as family, work towards a common goal, you will be part of a great brand, your job title will be Chief Executive Assistant and the pay will be 500k people will jump at it

But because he was blunt about what most employers expect of you and paid a princely amount for it by Nigerian standards. He is the problem

For me I don't mind you calling the job anything the only consideration is the compensation. I have no emotional attachment to any job

As a man who will head a family let all considerations be in facts alone and not someone using your head and serving you emotional lamba

This is why na women dey full church congregation for singing clapping cleaning church and free labor while na men they full the church committee where the money is being shared.

The part about straight male or straight female. That's the major issue I have with it. It will easily get him in trouble in anywhere in the West

Very silly on his part. Maybe he's also caught onto the social media frenzy and forgotten how things are irl.

All he had to do was include it as a drop down in the application link and filter them out based on his preference(s). But no, he had to be explicit

But it's Twitter, everybody there earns 6 figures (in Dollars cheesy).

Don't see anything wrong with the major requirements for the job, and other than the optics of restricting based on sexuality, there's some logic shopping for conventional humans, alphabet people wahala no dey finish. The Michael Taiwo guy has never hidden his prejudice against LGBTQ, though I think he could tone it down given that he's in tge West, but be like baba no too send, worst case scenario he moves to Saudi Arabia or Qatar and makes just as much or even more than Shell pays... man's to big to fail already...lol.

Chemical Engineer of 20yrs making just over 1m. Yet we dey vex at a job that will pay 1.4m because he said he will micromanage you.

That boy is full of shit tho

That 1m is his monthly salary after all deductions. It does not include his upfront which is likely 100 to 150 % 12 months and other allowances like 13th month, leave allowance, turkey. As a person who has spent 20 years in a lethargic nnpc I doubt the guy can cut it in a hard core private sector. And in the same nnpc dude is almost certainly under employed. Who knows maybe he is working in Kaduna refinery tongue
