This pixel 8, Na only screen be the major upgrade, then battery.

Other than that, the chip is still horrible asf. Heats up like a hot plate after short heavy usage.

Buggy asf too. Cant do virtual meetings without it getting hot like mad.

It's good I have used it, So I can tell others not to.

I suspected all the hype was for nothing, and I was right.

I'm getting the oneplus 12 and selling this off. Ayama

Now I'm confused...I had planned to buy the 7, but started contemplating the 8 because of all the stories around heating up being fixed with the 8, better battery and better screen compared to the 8...but with this your experience??
I'd just buy the 7 now I guess and hope that 9 will be better

These phones don't usually heat up expect you are actively running heavy tasks on them.

They do...it depends on what you define as heavy....
I use a 4a 5G, and I can hardly do a 1 hr video call on Whatsapp without it heating up

Pixel 6a, 7, 7a. I can confirm this same issue.

The 7 is okay. However do not use it for heavy stuff such as gaming or extended virtual or online calls.

You will cry.

It's good as a second device, not as your daily driver.

Take a cute pic or do a quick video here and there, and that's it.

Anything else, forget it.
