Seems I had a false hope in tinubu. Thought he had some economic sense. When has release from food reserve ever crashed prices in this country. You know the root cause of inflation right now. You removed fuel subsidy and increased taxes including electricity tariff. Attack this problem from the root cause and stop beating around the Bush. Open the borders too. Not this lip service we are playing. Nigeria will soon explode in your hands 1 Like |

How can food prices crash when transport cost is on the high side due to deregulated fuel price? How can food prices crash when naira is 1500 to a dollar because there is a food delivery chain that are linked to the naira value. How can food prices crash when the goods have to pass through various LG touts that collect all sorts of levies, that they have even increased? When you deliver the food, even assuming it's at the price they want to crash, how will it be cooked when gas price has increased to 1200? These people are just clowns that don't know what they are doing and this road of releasing food from the reserves to bring down prices was passed by Buhari several times without any impact, instead cost of food and living continued their steep rise. Doing the same thing several times over and expecting a different result is s tupidity. 1 Like 1 Share |

Buhari supporter, "PDP never again" we can all see where Buhari took us to with people like daily supporting him, now Tinubu is taking us to where we no know and you still supporting him. Is something actually wrong with you always on the side of doom, just a simple observation |

lexy2014: It is released to be BOUGHT. It’s not free food. The idea is that if you flood the system with food, it will bring down the cost. It’s basic supply-side economics. |

Hilarious!! The call to reopen borders with Niger emerges as a culinary solution, highlighting the importance of cross-border trade in food sourcing. Additionally, emphasis is placed on the imperative of ensuring farmer security to encourage agricultural activities. Addressing currency concerns is underscored as a shared responsibility, necessitating a proactive stance devoid of distancing oneself from the issue's origins. |
