I'm sorry for your experience, but Nairaland is only a reflection of the damaged psyche of the Nigerian mind. Just by asking that sort of question on this forum, you invited the attention of Nairaland's very vocal (but very intellectually shallow) red pill crowd.

Their trade mark is that they cannot hold or engage in a civil discourse because the thimble full of brain cells they have will always be a stumbling block for them.

There are actually intelligent and exposed Nigerians on this forum who would have done a great deal of intellectual justice to your question, but these days they tend to stay away from Nairaland because of the uncouthness you are complaining about.
