US news would be very heavy, many are looking forward to it... I suspect a deflective news here. If it isn't, it would shoot solid ±700-1500. Even XAU will fly up (green) or dump (red).

Still in "back testing mode", it is just a way to make % for lazy traders. You have to false "gamble" orders, too bad I learnt this late. There is also this " false hedging " you may do in prop firm account during news, auto pass account by maxing leverage on buy and sell on two different and single related pairs
e.g. BUY => GBG USD and SELL => EUR USD for heavy red USD like NFP or core CPI. This is not considered hedging in most prop firm, I have cheated with this method before but, doesn't really make you feel " trader -ish"

If you have a funded next and FE account, you can open 5+ lot each on a 6K account (100:1), 8% means 100+ pips is enough, NFP can shoots 400-1000 pips. So 100 x 5 = $500 ($480 is 8%) you would likely hit four figures anyways, NFP is too heavy. The other account would be in breach, if it is a single phase account - cool. Funded and get serious.

Many of us have a strategy that can implement that.. Just aim for the week results repeatedly which can be gotten even in 3 days...... But oh well..........are we descipline enough to do that? can we maintain to move away from the chart after making 2% daily?

Easier said than done, right? oh yes... but if yu think again what the current dollar rate is now, yu will think again that yu can do it.... A friend I heard about is now around $32k plus from 50$, in less than 6 months... She is going somewhere i know... Think again and restrategize, do something different in your tradings again if you are on a loosing streak for months...Government no go send you if rice enter 100K per bag.

But what happens if nfp results in a range market with a maximum movmt of about 50 pips in both directions?

Don't you think it may be better to test it on different competition accts instead with like five different pairs all at once on nfp?

If they all enter, na 25% gain on the competition acct in one day.

That is a deflective news and it usually happen if there are other red USD news same time. This is very common for CPI
As CPI m/m - green
CPI y/y - red
Core CPI - red
Since they are mix, it would bounce both ways and decide a direction after a minute or two. NFP is usually one, unless accompanied by unemployment claims. However if all red news go red or green at the same time, it shoot very heavily. Best is single news, one direction news.

Ember month last year, there was heavy US CPI... All core, y/y, m/m was in a direction. My MT5 froze, XAU had a big gap, even the indices wasn't spared, I have never seen indices jump this high before... It was so severe, even JPN 225 was affected. If an account was in -9% DD, I am confident that account would blast +10% on max leverage if right or - 20+% if traded opposite.

AUD - have one of the worst red news, barely any effect or rebound after 1 minute.
JPY doesn't do much for me, I don't even understand the pips. NZD - manageable.

Me sef I was surprised that day coz it brings my tin number when I type my DOB and bvn as if I have registered before and I have never been to their office before talk more of registered cuz who Nigeria help.well you can visit there office near you just to register and get your tin.no need to pay tax.

I eventually follow geovanni412's advice. I remove one number from my NIN and submitted it. TIN is 10 numbers, NIN is 11. Problem solved.



If they reject it, I'll consider getting the TIN then.

Lark has a lot size maximum of 1.4 lots on their 5k 3-stage acct.

That lot size is very small if you are trading jp225 (nikkei)

So, best to check prop firm rules thoroughly before running this your play.

you are absolutely right boss, I've also tried to trade various news and I find out that the most market moving news are news on USD and GBP, the rest don't move as such or rather try trading other news against JPY pairs as the might move somewhat. I once traded chf CPI release on CHFJPY and it only moved about 40pips whereas on USDCHF it was just rangebound

hiyah folks, today is greedy bastard day and CPI release is just 2hrs away. And as always I'm still dollar bullish because of hawkish remarks from various fed members and also looking back at all economic data from the start of the year till this month NFP release, data has been coming out solid for the US showing the resilience of the US economy. I've been carrying out some research on CPI and from my findings CPI is expected to come in hot today, that is a stronger or higher CPI release for the headline CPI while the core CPI to come in flat or unchanged at 0.3, if that happens I am anticipating gold to dump down to 2009 or even below that level. remember not to be a gambler or try to front run the CPI release, wait for the data, access the data and then trade the data in your perceived direction. i suggest waiting 30mins to 45mins after CPI release b4 trading. trade safe guys and I could be very wrong though either way it doesn't matter. proper risk management will save me as always... cheers

Agreed, however in news release you can go over the lot size rules before the Lark system auto stop your trade. Should take 3-5 mins to auto close.
