Rail is the best. I wish we can have it from Lagos to Abuja and to Maiduguri Port Harcourt to Enugu to Calabar to Sokoto and to Kaduna. I prefer it to air transport.

Other states cannot command the revenue Lagos commands...even places like Kano.

A light rail costs a lot of money. A lot. Most states cannot build one...which is why only Lagos (and the FCT ) have working light rail projects.

This is actually under the purview of the state government since they own the "lands" based on the outdated Land Use Act of 1978. If they don't share the same vision with the centre, nothing will work e.g National Livestock Transformation Plan.

Then what is the work of Federal Ministry of Agriculture and the minister if they can't structure out an inclusive Agricultural program that will lessen the hardship hunger is subjecting the masses to?

BTW, by declaring a state of emergency in the sector, that should give the federal government power over those lands.

Something urgent needs to be done before things fall apart.
