Johnjustice: Nigeria is a powerful nation. We lend billions of naira to the uk and us and have an armaments industry that sells advanced weapons to russia, india and usa. Last week we sent Johnjustice in a spaceship on a mission to a planet some 15 light years away. He is mankind's first astronaut to probe the depths of interstellar space. We look forward to reports of his adventures, as does his wife Miss maryanne who won miss universe before marrying him. Nigeria is powerful, chai |

Something FG under successive governments was supposed to have done. This is not about party politics. We have had kakistocracy. A system of government where the less suitable people lead the country. |

Ogiame: That's because Tinubu imposed sanctions on Niger republic. Tinubu should end the sanctions for peace to reign. The military junta has come to stay in Niger rep. Even the Presidential system of government practiced in Africa is the junior brother to Military dictatorship |

Akwamkpuruamu: The border is wide open. Northern farmers are selling to Niger Rep for handsome profits because of Tinubu's sanctions on Niger rep. Commodity board is good, but I agree with you on food subsidy. Jonathan's fertilizer subsidy, ended by the corrupt Buhari govt, should also be introduced |

donborg: Until you find yourself queuing for rice and garri. Food price controls alwaya end up in scarcity and lack of variety. The worst thing you can do to a food producer is have the governemt set his price. Apc wants to sacrifice economics on the altar of political expediency |

Cameroon has abundance of food.... Nigerian government should drop pride and partner with their government so they task their farmers to produce more to meet our own food needs too especially local rice( they have more than one white type of rice), cabbages, peas, groundnuts, beans, fruits ( oranges are same price with ours), pears etc Government should release free trailers and employ drivers to take it to states as Cameroon borders us at the Northern and Southern regions and sell directly to traders. When sufficient food floods the market, it will force down the price of products. We can also supply them with pharmaceutical products and footwear etc. 1 Like |

Godfullsam:I beg to differ sir, I think the price of food items should be regulated now. These business men are extremely greedy...in my town imagine what we are faced with currently a bag of pure water is sold for #250 and there is 20 sachets inside. If you get to any shop they sell 4 sachets for #100 in total they make #250 net profit from each bag, that is a hundred percent profit, nowhere in the world is such allowed in business they're simply cheating us. If they can do that unchecked for something as basic as water imagine the prices they will set for food items. They're also creating artificial scarcity which should not be. Government needs to step in now and regulate the prices, arbitrage profit is okay but not to the level of a hundred percent that is nothing but wicked greediness. |
