You can't force anyone to sell his/her product at your desired rate in an open market.

The govt. should revert to cashless policy as soon as possible and begin to tactically mop up the excess money already in circulation.

Everyone should brace up for this year's planting season, each house hold should plant something..

Yes they can. You underestimate the powers of the government.

Johnjustice:

The laws have provisions for that, the nation has consumers protection board...they can regulate from whole sale/production level, and the reduction will trickle down. Don't be a lazy head... government can meet farmers board dialogue with them and instruct them against exploitative prices, government can meet manufacturing union, as well as major importers.

Do you people have FG there for nothing?

At least let them work for all the big money they chop.

The law provides for consumers protection...it's very easy for an efficient government to achieve... don't conclude on things you don't understand.

What planet do you live in this era of globalised markets?
You mean Nigeria government of Tinubu will use Market Boards to fix prices of locally manufactured food stuffs but the farmers will buy other manufactured products from local and abroad at the present astronomical prices? Never gonna happen.
Voodoo Ecomomist.

Unfortunately at this point, I don't think there is much the FG can do. I believe the FG has lost the confidence of the majority massess. Who in his or her sanity would believe what is now been spewed or churned out. Things are hard. Anyway, only time will tell...

Nigerian traders are normally greedy. Inflation goes up by 20% but they will inflate prices by 1000%.

It's in our laws, these global this, global that, it is in our laws...do you know better than Falana and the judge that ordered FG to intervene?

If you don't understand things shut up, okpolo eye no be open eye.

Am telling you now, a judge ruled that FG should intervene because a citizen like you took them to court... people like you are online all day spreading sarcasm, mediocrity and ignorance, while serious people put FG to task. The law envisioned a non chalant political class, that's why provisions are there in the constitution to make them do their job!
Lukewarm people are spat out.
You people are mediocres, just sarcasms and jokes una sabi, dull people...we are talking our constitutional provisions you are talking nonsense. If all Nigerians were like you, the country would have been buried. Docile people.

You want the FG workers to just fold hands and be chopping money without working for Nigerians?

The power of which government? This is a Democratic era and it is an open market operation where only the forces of demand and supply can determine the prices commodities.

If the government do any how it will be counter productive as sellers will adopt plan b.

In fact, northern farmers are already reportedly selling their grains to neighboring countries to maximize profit. That is plan b for you and there is nothing your government can do about it.

You don't know this people. Their prayers is for everything to fail and collapse so that they can have reasons to blame Tinubu and gloat at the SW. Anytime the government comes up with something good, they must make caustic remarks. All they want is for Hoebee, who came 3rd in the election be installed by force.

FG moves to ...
FG plans to ...
FG mules ...
FG never gets anything done, always planning and thinking and moving.
This FG has really broken every record of incompetence, cluelessness and democratic recklessness in the entire world.
No wonder Tinubu said he deserves to be in the Guinness book of records.
We just didn't know he was planning to get his name in the book for the wrong reasons.
Same way Buhari promised us change and become a change for the worse.

The minimum wage that's within your ambit, you're yet to do any serious things with but want to regulate what you did not produce or support farmers to produce....Is like head is paining this APC government; have they told Dangote how much he's to sell cement that he's largely favored by government policy to produce

So because we practice democracy, anything goes? No regulations, no checks? The Northerners doing this are natural economic saboteurs and now that it has come out in the open, expect maximum clampdown to the extent that anyone who tries to continue will think twice. If your plan B is not illegal, why do they go through Bush paths to avoid security? Why do they have to bribe people to look away? Is that part of democracy too.

Ignore those saboteurs and their zombies, even in America I remember when Trump banned Chinese imports, saying they must pay more tarrifs...I remember when American government ordered companies to reduce prices of commodities... Nigerians have enemies within, some out of bitterness, others are just zombie followers, they think it's cool to abuse the country, and wish it ill. You will know the low IQ zombies, they are never objective they just say things to attract likes from their kind, and for laughs and sarcasm...in reality they are dumb.

Open boarder jare and stop story.

Bag of rice is 14k in Benin Republic. Tinubu handicapped Nigeria to produce anything and he lock our boarders.

If u plant rice , u pay excessive amount on labourers , seedlings , then birds, herdsmen and later when u want to grind it in mill.... You will cry.

Forex problem is about too much demand for dollars, due to high importation volume, and hoarding of dollars by Nigerians causing dollar scarcity...it's very different from government protecting it's people against producers and manufacturers from exploiting the people.

Make una dey think, make dem no think say all Nigerians are idiots.

Dollar issue and domestic pricing issues very different.
