Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has urged citizens of the state to fast and offer special prayers on Monday for divine intervention over the current hardship caused by inflation.

“I am deeply troubled by the recent hardships faced by our citizens, particularly the high cost of food items”, the Governor said.

Zulum in his broadcast to the people of the state implored traditional rulers, clerics and citizens to observe a one-day voluntary fast on Monday for peace, prosperity and the development of the state, NAN reports.

Nigeria my country!!

We really need to do the right things to fix the Nigerian economy. Come up with the right policies, it’s as simple as that…in addition to prayer. We don’t fold our hands and just be praying. Even the Bible says that Faith without work is dead!

If any new policies are not working, then revert them to the old manageable policy that’s not as bad as the new policy until a better policy is figured out. It is not a ‘defeat’ to reverse a non-working new policy to the old one.

Subsidy was removed without a plan to cushion the effect on the poor masses. Naira was allowed to float without thinking about and working on the factors that can ensure its success.

How can the economy work without the right policies in place and implementation of those policies??

Nigeria's economic situation is now beyond theories. No right-thinking person will be playing a ping-pong game when his house is on fire. This is no more time for simply passing the ball, blaming one another or series of past administrations. We need to roll up our sleeves and get to work. Not writing long epistles, not making ‘audio’ political speeches/promises, praying & fasting. This is time for the actual work.

An emergency economic team needs to be quickly formed to render a selfless service, not tied to any monetary gains. There should be a careful selection of each member of the team.

Boarding God with our wicked ways. God blessed this nation more than any other country, but a lot of wickness abound in Nigeria that caused this extreme suffering. I wish they will do this pray and fasting with their whole 💓. They will definitely see good results because our God is a merciful father.

Trash. With all our religious poses, we have a hell for a country. What we lack is godliness, not religiosity. Stvpidity is to open your eyes to vote a Tinubu, then, start praying for a good life.

I've never seen a country so funny, so stupid, so daft and so unserious as Nigeria.

The only country in the whole wild world where government abdicate from their responsibilities. That's why this country is in a deep mess.

This is purely a leadership issue as far as am concerned. Put the right people in place and the right policies…..and then boom!! The economy will pick up.

We don’t need to fold our hands fasting and praying, or go about looking for a magician to do tumbo tumbo for us.

I am available to volunteer as a team member to fix that economy in just a very short period of time so people can breathe a sigh of relief.

BTW, I am talking about the National level. The Nigerian economy.

Nigeria's economic problem is like a leaking roof at multiple spots in the building. You can't 'patch' one spot and go to bed believing you've tackled the problem. There should be a holistic approach to solving the problem. The right team needs to be assembled to fix it, else we are going nowhere.

What we actually need is more and more religious houses of churches and musques to be built to accommodate more persons so that the prayers must be answered by fire by force.

Better governor wey sabi.
Please mr governor release more funds to build bigger more religious place of worship to accommodate plenty customers to help with the prayers. The more the prayer warriors the more hope we have that things will get better

Instead of to distribute the money received from abuja that had been double of what it was last year due to exchange rate differences this man pocket the allocation, bribe some imam and Bishop and declare prayer

Meanwhile the people are suffering from poverty and lack of information

Black man has been using poverty and illiteracy as a tool for enslavement

APC is evil, na foolish people wey vote these evil people into power due to tribalism and religion , they turn around now and queue for visa to japa

If I were God, I'll flog any Nigerian that disturbs me.

Seeing statements like this from the supposed leaders, you just know the country can't be redeemed again.

Ladies and gentlemen
I am Kenny
Commander of the soldiers named Obidents
Leader of the legion of the South
Son of a battered nation
Citizen of a wrecked state.
I am here to welcome you to the great Tinubulation
But we will take our nation back
In this century, or in the next.

Crazy people

Foolish sets of leaders.

After enthroning a clueless man to lead you as president because of tribalism, you now want to turn to God that gave you brain for reasoning which you refused to use to save you.

Na God go punish you

He is not serious!!!

If he truly believes in God..he will understand God has given man everything he needs to succeed.

Na man's actions they put man down...

So, he as the leader should man up and do the needful...God will not come and do the work of man..man should do his job!!!

Nonsense!!!
