You are an idiot for anticipating price hike, that's felony.

It's your Family that are idiots.

What is "marketing" if I don't anticipate a price increase on a product I have for sale?

You voted for APC, it's late. You have over 7 more years to feel the pains. Ntor

It will only frighten Corrupt investors

Lol some of us don't look beyond our nose or just pretending.
So you don't know that some people are full time into agro business, buy grains or so when it's cheaper, transport it, protect and secure against thieves, pests etc and filter it.
Then they will wait for some season to sell and earn a living, and you want them to give you for free because you are hungry?
What happens after sealing of them and they don't store anymore or run out of cash to buy next season? What happens when you finish eating everything in stock?
What do you think will happen, smile

100% correct.

As a business man that chose to invest in foodstuffs just like ANY OTHER BUSINESS MAN. When price of foodstuffs were low, I used my hard earned money to buy them in bags and stored. And when prices are higher, I bring them out to sell.

And you open your dirty mouth to say i am "hoarding"? Come to my ware house let me tell you something first!

Thieves!
But the prices of food is at an all time high.....never in the history of Nigeria has food been this expensive since it's about profit for them why are those hoarders still keeping food in warehouses.

They are the ones jacking up the price because of excess greed.
It's a good thing government is stepping in now.

I see a whole lot of short-sighted folks here - but wetin concern me.. same way Bubutard blocked the borders to encourage local rice farmers , now N6k local rice with all the stones is now N50k and guess where premium long-grain has gone lipsrsealed rather than focus on empowering and building the agricultural industry, BOI will borrow OVH money to buy NNPC shares in OANDO grin and leave farmers dry. and here you have their lot screaming on your mandate

don't mind them, I want the Bulaba bandits to make a little research on essential commodities era in Nigeria (1980's) then come back to clap their leprous fingers. I know they have no shame but for you who has sense, buy as much foodstuff as you can buy including oil and satchet tomatoe paste and warn your wife to shut up about their availability in your store because things are about to get very interesting

Very shameful. Thos is the worst I never thought will happen.

When are they going to crackdown on Dangote cement for the hike in price?

When will they crack down on flourmill, Indomie factory and all the multinational FMCGs whose product's prices have trippled in recent months?

Very shameful of whoever is leading the so called crackdown. Its the height of economic ignorance. If production of any goods is surplus, the price will drop. You don't go about chasing poor men who used their hard earned money to buy their goods

You are very correct. 💯%

So you dont know that when borders are opened, demand for dollars, CFA etc will reach the roof and the naira will be in decline.

Why did you think the Govt close the border in the first instance?

Tgis was exactly what the presidency was supposed to do in their meeting this week. Only for the presidency to say they want to protect the interest of local farmers. THE SAME LOCAL FARMERS that have raised the price of foodstuffs because of probably the impact of other aspects of the economy on them.

If you understand economic development you shouldn't have said the aforementioned.
There's is no market that you will not see Foreign Goods including Rice is sold at all various locations so why closing the borders when the goods you Blocked not to enter is still entering the country is even been found the various Government House
What NIGERIA NEED NOW IS BORDERS OPENING SO IT CAN COMPETE WITH THOSE WICKED TRADERS THAT DECIDED TO INCREASE THIERS IF THERE'S COMPETITION IN VARIOUS FOOD,GOOD BOTH FOREIGN AND LOCAL PRODUCTS THERE WIL DECREASE IN FOOD PRICE...TRY UNDERSTAND ECONOMIC
