Makinde and Dapo Abiodun, what are you guys doing?

Build independent power stations and ensure top notch security. Then go out and attract more investors.

Goods are relatively cheaper to manufacture here now with the crazy Naira devaluation. These guys can come in produce and export to other African countries from here.

Please turn our woes to our competitive advantage.

Delapidated power supply, insecurity , plus the raw materials would have to be imported.

If you're a foreign investor, will you come?

Yes, foreign investors can come in but naira has to stabilize first, as it is its still dropping. Someone who invested one million dollars in the the Nigerian economy last month has already lost money before doing anything tangible with it. So first thing is to stabilize the naira

Learn what from China?

Did Chinese tell you they are interested in only foreign investors? Check out most investments done in China and you’ll find out about 3% is FDI the rest are local.

Government must encourage local investments. That’s the best way to go. FDI will come and take all their profits with them.

When you have extortionists as tax collectors following the lagos model and also the ease of doing business is not there and cost of production due to poor infrastructure is damn too high, do you think they would come to invest in Nigeria?

People don't seem to have a good grasp of the devaluation.

Let me say a personal example. I invested about ₦3m into a business venture in Naija around mid last year. I exchanged about £4,000 to buy the ₦3m.

The business has been successful in Nigeria so far but ironically, it is at a loss to me because of the currency devaluation.

We are expected to round it off April this year and take profit, but even if my investment doubles, say I pull out with my ₦3m and get another ₦3m as profit, I can't get my invested £4,000 back! It is at a loss to me even though I have an 100% ROI.

I have a very similar situation with an esusu/ajor that has been going on for a year now and I am the last to pack.
.
Tell me why any wise investor would bring any capital from FX.

Importation should drop, Nigeria should start massive production in every sector. By the way, Tinubu did not grab power he won the elections. Only a stupid person will expect labour party that could not provide party agent for all the pooling booths to win. Obi was not a serious contestant,he left PDP after he bought form and passed screening.
