They don't know the consequences of their actions.... Many of them are deluded self-entitled mofos with a false understanding of democratic norms.
The ones I pity most are the bandwagon simpletons who daily paraphrase the warped agenda of the secessionists.
Chicken wey they shit for pot no know say na him coffin him dey spoil so.

This is what I keep preaching, learn to separate your hate for the president from the Nigeria brand. If not the result will be bad and even affect you more. Make a constructive criticism of Nigeria and stop mocking Nigeria to the world

The same people that occupied Nigeria with coffins and pics of a he-goat labeled GEJ for N200 fuel, while publicly calling the President an "ineffectual buffoon and his wife a "shepopotamus", have no moral justification to condemn their opposition for doing same now that their messiah has taken fuel to N680! cool

Your train of thought is identical to Reno Omokri's. Go through my posts. I post regularly on Abia state threads. I'm an Aba boy to the core. Clothes, shoes you name it. I'm proud of my Aba heritage, and that is the reason i like Ikpeazu; for projecting the "Made in Aba" brand during his tenure

Oppositions role in engineering their party followers to constantly abuse and smear the image of those in power using social media is the cause of denting Nigeria's image globally.

While they're fighting and insulting their rivals in power, little they know that they're actually destroying the status and reputation of Nigeria as a country globally.

So you don't know who de-marketed Nigeria in the first instance?
It is Tinubu who procured his "victory" from both INEC, and the judiciary. He did not win the election!
So he remains an illegitimate president; and will never be accepted by well meaning Nigerians!
What you are seeing is the consequence of subverting the will of the people!

Will you keep quiet 🤫. Having a drug lord as president will not discourage foreigners?. Having a terrorist sympathizer as VP will not discourage foreigners abi?. The hunger and instability in the forex will not discourage foreigners?. Inability of those foreign investments/investors to withdraw their funds, profits/capital won't discourage foreigners abi?.. sometimes I wonder where you guys reason from. Clowns that would rather the people pray to have stable electricity than hold the government responsible and accountable. False patriots. Amadioha locate you all. Wicked and evil people.

If you're a Nigerian, and you're fond of saying evil of this country every now and then, you're actually doing more damage to yourself than to that Nigeria you hate so much.

No sane man says evil of his country of origin when dealing with outsiders. But I have read countless of such posts & comments on this forum in particular. Most of these things can discourage foreigners from having any dealings with Nigeria or Nigerianns.

On several foreign forums, you will see several hundred comments from people from around the world on a topic that is totally unconnected with national governments, a Nigerian will pop up and comments so negatively about his country, you just shake your head.

Countries like Pakistan, Lebanon, Argentina and several others are in worse economic and political situation than Nigeria, but commenters from those countries do not denigrate their countries such crass way as many Nigerians do on foreign sites.

Even as expensive as things have become recently, many things including petrol, cement, food etc are still cheaper in Nigeria than in many of our smaller neighbouring countries.

You talk your country down and even curse the country on foreign sites, and you expect Nigeria or Nigerians to be respected abroad.

The ability to criticise a government is an absolute necessity in any democracy. But is constant abuse, name calling, and cursing the best approach. I don't think so.
your brain dey pain you? What is the minimum wage in these countries?

God bless you for this. Nigerians have tarnish our image on social media. Me and one woman from a Caribbean was supposed to do one little business. Immediately I told her that am originally from Nigeria like this. She lost interest, she started telling me all the negative things that Nigerians use to say about there country on Twitter. Many Nigerians don't know how to use social media space. You don't just go to international news space or foreign space to start insulting your country and president. But you can do that on your local news space or local space on any social media. Let me use Pakistan as a case study, they are battling terrorism and economic hardship but you would never see them talk negative about there country. They even praise there country and there leaders but if you enter there Pakistani space on social media. You would see alot of banter going on there.

What they were saying, was it wrong? Instead the leaders to stop stealing and fix the country, you want us to instead keep quiet aNd be looking and lying in silence. If your conscience is dead, so many people's own is still alive and working.

Yes, they are seeing Obidients as dumb ignorant fools tarnishing their country at every opportunity before the world, which will lead to the world shunning and discriminating against them and their children.

They are STUPID, BRAINLESS FOOLS.

See how a Kenyan man has put some sense into their thick heads?

Today, Kenya has many problems just like Nigeria, from terrorism to inflation.

Do you see Kenyans trashing their country online?

Low IQ idiots.
They are the same folks who started calling Nigeria a zoo. They have been like this for years, they are saboteurs and enemies within.
More than 90% of the nasty threads on nairaland are created by them.

As much as I hate "tarnishing the nigerian image", the people doing so online have every right to do so. The bulk of the population with access to internet voted certain candidate(s). Their candidate not winning, means one thing; they play the role of the opposition. Mentioning countries like Argentina and Co., they wont complain cause they voted in their leaders not like Nigeria with all electoral malpractices known to man. If he really was people's choice, he wouldn't be dragged at every slight opportunity. Jonathan was dragged, but not as bad as MB and BAT who are successfully pushing us back to stone age
It is not a bad thing to criticize, but to do so at the detriment if your global status is folly.

One time the Kenyans and Nigerians on Twitter had a twitter war, th y posted edited pictures of Tinubu already thrown online by those who are the so-called opposition.

If you work with international colleagues, you'd have known the dangers of constantly posting negativity about your country.

I am happy that a foreigner is saying this. The way Nigerians run down their country is pathetic.

Even the millions of Ghanaians and South Africans who have never been to Nigeria call Nigeria a generator republic. It is Nigerians that wash their dirty linens in public. Unfortunately, some of those foreigners Nigerians ridicule their country in front go away with a worse impression of Nigeria. Some of them even think we don't have electricity at all. A Ghanaian friend of mine was surprised to know that Nigeria generates three times more electricity than Ghana generates and uses two times what Ghana uses.

Nigerians need to be careful how they portray Nigeria outside. For more than 20 years, many middle-class Nigerians ran down the university system in Nigeria as extremely terrible. Yet today many Nigerian graduates are getting recruited in Canada, UK and the likes, even without foreign certificates. Nigerian graduates are still getting admissions to Harvard and other ivy league schools. I live in the US, and I am always happy to see Nigerians who graduated from Unilag, UNN etc, graduating from top PhD programs in the US and getting in to top American companies.

We can disagree with the government of the day and politicians, and be dissatisfied with other things in Nigeria. However, we should be careful about how we project the country outside. Many Nigerians are too negative about Nigeria.
That thing is common among our Igbo brothers.
E don too red for them. O ti Pon mon won ju.
