I have been studying the Mwaghavul people of Plateau State. I believe they are the remote ancestors of the Chinese. The Mwaghavul people must have migrated to China in remote antiquity and settled there, and helped to build that civilisation. They have names like Nanching, Nanking, Ching, Nanfwang, Nandong, etc etc. Other ethnic groups proximate to the Mwaghavul like the Berom, Jaba, Shanga, and others, also have names that sound VERY Chinese. And when you hear them speak, I swear it’s like you are listening to Chinese people talking. And they have the most slanted eyes of any Nigerian group I have seen. In fact most Plateau state people have these slanting eyes. What’s going on? And why is there hardly any research being conducted on this? |

People are talking about this stuff abroad, and the video got thousands of likes and comments. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PIYqtI3Ik30?si=jWQunBSlvHLTixZy |

OP I think you may be right. This Tiv woman and many Tiv peope have that very slanting eye oriental look. I also read this quote from an Asian man in the comment section in that video you posted:@aloysiushettiarachchi4523 Hello, I have worked in Central Nigerian state called Benue State from 1975 to 86. The largest ethnic group of that state is Tiv (around 2.5 million). Their language and facial features are very much like Chinese. Their names, such as Hua, Chia, and Tse, also have similar meaning. They find it difficult to pronounce the letter R. So they mix up letters L and R, same like Chinese. They are supposed to have migrated from the central African region. https://eucarlwears.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/274369627_119599310635207_3150945390897977153_n-1-819x1024.jpg |

Chongai people are well known in the north, especially for their women. They're the Calabar girls of the north (pardon the stereotype), ie, dey go use fork kii you with their high libidos! Na so rain catch me under one Chongai babe roof one night I went adventuring in Zaria back then. At first, it was maximum trips with her supple limbs wrapped tightly around my waist, her tiny bedroom voice urging me on to scatter the matter ever so softly, along with the rain on her zinc roof sounding like her ancestors were clapping for my dexterity. Everytime she mentioned the cold, I would proceed to administer a hot stroke of hard penicillin. Until six rounds later, that melodious voice rather than sounding inviting was beginning to set-off alarms in my head! A-girlie dem no dey use one night stand find pikin naw, dis thing suppose be recreation not disintegration. ![]() |

ThinkSmarter:No......The ancestors of these Middle Belt Nigerians must have migrated to Asia in very ancient times. It cannot just be coincidence that they have similar facial features and language. One thing you guys need to realise is that life began in Africa, and it was our ancestors who went out and populated the rest of the world. Scientists call it the Out of Africa Thesis. Africa is the Cradle of Civilisation. Our ancestors' skin colour changed over time in those places, maybe through outbreaks of albinism or DNA adaptation to new environments and climate systems. All those whites and Asians you see today are descendants of our ancient ancestors, even though most of them don't realise it. |

Rossikk:My friend used to joke about them while in school back then. He will say they were named based on what was threw on the floor during their birth. If it was stainless, they gave them names such as Gbuamm, etc ![]() |

Majesty7:The king of Jos, His Royal Highness Gyang Buba is known as the 'Gbong Gwom of Jos'! According to wiki, ''Gyang Buba was born on October 10, 1951, in Madu Village of Du District, Jos South, Plateau State. He is the first son of Buba Dung Bot of the Lo Du, Lo-Wet family and Ngo Kaneng Buba, one among the ruling house of the kingdom.'' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacob_Gyang_Buba I mean, these are names that sound Chinese/Korean/Thai etc. And see the dressing of their kings and nobles: Gbong Gwom of Jos (right) https://presentng.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/FB_IMG_1602323031320.jpg Traditional Chinese Attire https://i.pinimg.com/736x/ea/81/78/ea8178e0abe7e97e2a8e8c835bb62195.jpg ![]() |
