It's not that we are buying petrol cheaper than other countries. It's the devaluation of our currency that makes the high amount we are paying to buy petrol seem little when converted to the U.S dollars. But in the real sense Nigerians are paying through their nose when we consider our standard of living and our average wage.

Why are they using naira to calculate other countries, are they spending naira over there? This is actually one of the apc led government propaganda. $10 is minimum you will paid per hour job im the USA, that's 18,000 naira equivalent. It's means your two hours job is more than minimum wage(monthly pay) in Nigeria.

Abeg make we give ourselves brain

Unemployment is about to reduce in Badagry again.
cotonu currency exchanges way lower than it's value in Nigeria, if you factor inflation (high bribes) transportation and risk, trust me it ain't worth it.
The gain would be way too less.

what is the essence of this report? I guess to justify the increase in fuel pump price.I thought you Tinubu supporters said he has removed subsidy, but from this report, subsidy is still being paid.. You all are shameless!!

Sighs. Could this be the reason many generators and vehicles have gone into hibernation?

It's not by stealing the vehicle from the rightful owner. It is knowing what to do it.

Power may not be served at the restaurant but leadership certainly is.
You dey mind that fool

Nigeria created a basket-case economy that cannot survive without cheap fuel. All those other West African countries we used to look down on, they now have grid electricity, rail and mass transit.

Nigeria will surely crumble if we continue hiking our pump price because of them, we just have to find a temporary solution to cross-border smuggling of fuel while we quickly upgrade all those services that depend on cheap fuel for survival before we can hike our pump prices too
