Why didn't you slap a guy if you no go collect beating and your silly ego will be brought down.
You females are the main problem we are having in this country.
Same way I'm waiting for my neighbor wife to act silly in my present one of these days I'll teach her a bitter lesson before her husband comes back.
I'm not gen z but you silly ladies especially the married ones should bring down your lame ass ego.

I am heading a department and the best way to handle this GenZ is to first and foremost respect your self and never in anyway flirt/compliment their dressing/looks. Think before you take/make any instructions and actions cos when you do and you chicken out your respect is gone. Treat and give them that fatherly figure and avoid poke nose in their shit/gist

If this is true then you and your MD need to learn industrial relations.
I'm sure the "barge in" you said was probably because he didn't greet you.

And why will you chase him out like a dog because he was trying to look for what he needed to work with?
He lodged a formal complaint which was a very ethical move and was given a working suspension.
What exactly was the insubordination?
The way we carry respect on the head in this part of the world is really annoying.
If you ask someone older how he's doing or how the day is going he will take it as an insult.
Most annoying ones are the ladies who newly got married and carrying the Mrs tag or their head will be wanting you to lie down and greet them first when you see them even if you are older than them.
I'm not a gen z but most of these problems are just ego issues and nothing else.

Last Christmas, during the hols my kid sis who is 21 said I should mind the way I talk to her if not I won't like the way she would respond. I asked her what did you say?she said "I heard her right".
If not for my Dad I for show her how I bathed and wore her diapers before dropping her off at school. It was serious and I was really pissed.
You should watch the way you speak to her and stop. Just because you helped her when she was a baby doesn't give you any right to disrespect her, she is a human that deserves respect

Those gen Zs are quite lazy, easily overwhelmed and give up easily. A couple of them that resumed work at my husband's office has frustrated their colleagues up to their necks. One doesn't know anything, for over 2 months he has not grasped anything. The most basic computer applications he doesn't know. The other one has never come to work for an entire week before, says he wants to work from home. Work you've not fully learnt. They're always complaining that they're being overworked and didn't sign up for this. Everybody knows they got the job through nepotism but how long they'll keep it is anybody's guess.

You guys are blind to Gen Zs building companies from scratch, the ones putting the country out there unlike the elders that keeps embarrassing due to incompetence but once you see a Gen Z misbehaving, you'd generalize.

Why didn't you generalize with Gen Zs that took their country to AFCON final?

Shame on you!

Which company are they starting from scratch? Startups that fold up in a couple of years due to mismanagement? You need to go to workplaces to see how lazy, complacent and unwilling to put any efforts these fresh faces are. They're the ones screaming no jobs yet when they eventually get the jobs, they start whining. Of course they're a handful of hardworking and productive ones but majority of them are lazy!

The only part of this post I don't agree with is involvement of traditionalists (1925 - 1945) in the workplace. We are talking of people 80yrs and above. These would have long retired. Even Baby boomers (1946 - 60) are mostly no longer part of contemporary corporate workforce as they've entered retirement age.

Corporate workforce nowadays is mostly Gen X, Millenials and Gen Zs. Baby boomers are mostly into management of their post-retirement investments or store ownership. Traditionalists are waiting for final exit call.

Gen Z's mostly lack the rigor that drive achievement of quality results. If previous generations were superficial like that then the level of global development in all sectors would not have reached current levels.

I never said we don't pass through process, what I said is that we prefer a shorter and simpler process that will lead to the same goal

Technology has come to make things very easy and our generation is taking advantage of that information to achieve things faster and simpler
Unlike the older generations that prefer to stick to the old status quo of doing things undecided undecided

For example back in the days the older folks used school library to do their assignments but today thanks to gen z initiative we can use google to do that same assignment
I can't remember when last I bought or photocopy a textbook or handouts, all I do is to snap them or download the pdf and I'm good to go

You old folks need to understand that the world and it systems are changing, what took you folks years to accomplish can take us days to accomplish same feet

You can all see the way someone who inserted God in their moniker is talking. The rudeness in Gen Z will be it's downfall. There is no one in Gen Z to level up with. Power and Glory from above is disseminated by the Creator in His wisdom and fashion and will always trim this generation to where it belongs because of it's sickening moral ineptitude

That is the problem with the older folks, always bringing the respect card when they lack what to say sad

By the way This generation are not morally bankrupt, we are only showing the world who we are compared to the hypocritical old generations that claim 'holy' but na them do corruption pass

The corrupt people (both leaders and citizen) sabotaging the nation today are all old folks from the old generation, so you see, you all are are as morally bankrupt as we the gen z, but the difference is that there was no social media to expose it to the world

So next time you want to condemn the gen z, ask yourself which generation spread corruption in nigeria ? undecided
