The Ugandan government is to introduce biometric gadgets for the implementation of daily salary payment for civil servants.

The gadgets are to be introduced following the resolve of the government to start paying civil servants according to the number of days worked rather than a guaranteed monthly salary.

Prof. Ezra Suruma, the head of the Delivery Unit in the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM), said they are for a start installing the gadgets at public health and educational institutions to monitor clock-in, clock-out of health workers and teachers at their duty stations, Business Daily reports

Suruma said salaries of absentee civil servants will be deducted equivalent to work days missed, he said.

I believe it's all technology and electricity they will use.
Try that in Nigeria, it's a dead on arrival move.
Only the private sector can implement that on Nigeria.

cry

It can't even stand the test of time

That's not what African countries need at the moment

Instead of paying them money on monthly basis, the government should rather pay more attention to the citizens brain and mentality

People's way of reasoning has a great effect on the advancement of a country

If we change our reasoning today and for once believe in ourselves as a nation, not only will we create a better Nigeria.. We will as well create an enviable one

The Chinese and Japanese people are been envied throughout the world today because they gave themselves a sense of belonging in Science

Today, China is the new economy power house while Japan is the most technologically advanced nation on earth

Science is no country inheritance

It is not their science... It is our science

Let's go the scientific way... Our future is crying

We've tried religion for decades, it failed us and we didn't stop

We've also tried it for more than a century and we still didn't stop

Anything that doesn't work for a century will never work

Our problem goes beyond religion

Our second problem is entertainment and the fact that we are copying a country like America

If only we can copy the likes of China and Japan, only then will we regain back all our lost glory and promises

God Bless Nigeria and every black nation because a game changer will soon come for our rescue

This makes absolute sense

Salaries of absentee civil servants will be deducted equivalent to work days missed, he said.

If this is enforced in Nigeria, no civil servant will miss work again
