There was mad queue yesterday when i decided to go get the fuel.

I didn't even bother myself today at all.

The fuel will eventually sell for N1000 soon.
And they will still buy. Nigerians are yet to realize what's going to be fall them soon.

Because the majority of Nigerians eat rice. I stopped eating for close to 10 years now. But it is a popular stable food in Nigeria. Especially kids and others.
I have warned my wife not to buy rice again, let us see maybe we are going to faint.

Grow what u eat! The Northerner that plant the rice and beans you ate this morning are human like u.

South west Youth, should stop pressing phone and embrace Agriculture.
Each geographical zone have crops known to it, that's easy to plant...
Cost of production becomes more expensive when we try to grow some crops known to the North here in the South...

A whole lots of factors come together to determine the total cost of production...
Maybe we should go back to doing what each zone is best at ..

You are not even talking local rice you are talking about imported rice. When rice gets to N200,000 you will know that we have other foods in Nigeria. The policy is working, Nigerians have no business eating imported food unless you are well off….change your eating habits if you are poor. No country feeds it’s poor on imported foods.

I have no sympathy for anyone complaining about the price of imported food or food manufactured with imported raw materials…that is the problem these reforms are designed to solve. Economics is very simple, it’s demand and supply. When the demand falls because the price is too high people will either resort to local rice or alternative local foods like yam…..which is good for our local farmers and our economy.
Even Yam, garri and other locally produced agricultural products are expensive. So, what are you talking about?

It is amazing how You people will claim to be educated but don’t understand that when you eat local foods you create jobs in Nigeria. When people have jobs, they spend money, when they spend money, factories sell, when factories sell, they employ more people. When people have jobs and factories are working govt gets more taxes and can provide hospitals, roads, schools etc.

Your love for imported foods and imported everything is the reason you graduate and there are no jobs for you and all of you are looking to japa!! When you eat imported foods the jobs you create are abroad and you local factories close down!!!

So even if the local one is also expensive, at least the local one benefits you for reasons outlined above. This is not the time to help other countries.

Shopping malls like ShopRite, they sell both local and foreign goods. Stop2shop is bigger than mm2.
Theirs price's might had gone up Now,

you can't possibly get a 50kg Rice for even 35k there anymore,

I might be wrong though

Great! Now spread the word. It is a pity the government is not doing enough (if anything) to educate Nigerians on the need to buy local. I guess they lost the moral authority when the 1st thing they did was purchase imported jeeps.

At the end of the day a prosperous Nigeria is in the interest of all. If you’ve lived in the UK or the US, you will know how fiercely protective the citizens are about local jobs and direct their purchasing power accordingly.
