Edo state loves peter obi to a fault but not labour party so akpata can't win Okpebohlo's APC is the worse thing to ever happened to this country so that will count against him Ighodalo's is a protégè to arguably the worse governor ever in the history of Edo state. Okpebohlo and ighodalo are both esan as a result it will give them a little edge. If i have to vote right now, I'll vote for ighodalo but na to wait to hear their plans for the state 19 Likes 1 Share |

Asue Ighodalo and Olumide Akpatal are both Obaseki"s candidates ...know this and know peace.Imaseun camp produces the Deputy Governor for APC. Ize Iyamu's camp are insisting the delivered the Governorship ticket to Monday Okpebholo , while Oshiomhole camp are insisting on Denco be compensated with the Deputy Governorship candidate slot since he won the cancelled Election The big Elephant in the room is and PDP joker for Edo South votes is Osarodion Ogie the current SSG of Edo state Government, at moment he is the strongest Politician in Edo South (Benin) no politician in Edo South at the moment come next to him , he is a full grassroots man in Benin and the full Edo south , Osarodion Ogie's camp delivered all local governments in Edo South including Ize Iyamu's local government to Obaseki in the last Edo State Governorship election. Osarodion Ogie will be the Deputy Governorship candidate to Asue Ighodalo that is guaranteed over 60% of Edo South Votes in the Governorship election for PDP.... Monday Okpebholo of APC is in dilemma on whose camp ( whether from Ize/Iyamu camp or Oshiomhole) to pick his deputy candidate from. QUOTE ME

senatordave1: All these confused APC zombies Fool wey no dey stay Edo state and don't understand the politics and realignment going on in Edo state right now, go dey argue Edo state politics with we wey dey reside full time for benin....continue living in illusion You will come back to eat your word ,when realignment begins. For ur information Oshiomhole men have stared distancing themselves from the new APC candidate I repeat again no politician in Edo South can match or stop OSARODION OGIE from delivering at leat 60% of Edo South Votes for PDP like he did for Obaseki when Obaeki won relection, Ize Iyamu till today still don't understand how Osarodion Ogie Camp delivered Ize Iyamu's local government "Orhionwmwon" for Obaseki in the last Governorship election. come to benin and ask questions and stop posting ignorant thrash from outside Edo. Mention any politician in Edo South that APC can field as deputy Governor that can match Osarodion Ogie...we are waiting for the person name.. https://www.thecable.ng/afegbua-apc-national-leadership-ganged-up-to-produce-okpebholo-as-edo-guber-candidate/amp 3 Likes 2 Shares

Asuen Ighodalo is our next governor elect, come September 2024. All the indices of Edo politics are just favoring him. Ok let's look at all the odds one by one. 1. JOB CREATION: Asuen Ighodalo with his Okomu palm oil company, Sterling bank Plc, etc made him the highest job creator among all the Edo governorship candidates. 2. INTERNAL PARTY SUPPORTERS: Asuen Ighodalo is the candidate with the strongest internal party supporters, the only disgruntled party member of the Edo PDP that is against his candidacy is Philip Shaibu which is inconsequential. But the other candidates have heavy weight politicians that can make them to loose the upcoming election. In Labour party Olumide Osaigbovo Apata is wrestling against the authentic and fake national chairman of the party, Olumide Osaigbovo Apata was even fingered in the humiliating arrest of Julius Abure, Kelly Ogbaloi and four other party chieftains of the party few days to the party primary. On the other hand Lamidi Apapa is using all his resources to bring down Olumide Osaigbovo Apata by hook or crook. Furthermore you have Monday Okpebholo who the strongest politicians of of Edo APC are against, you have the likes of Adams Oshiomole, Tony Kabaka, Dennis Idahosa, kassim Afegbua etc. 3. NAME: In politics your name can make you go far or it can stunt your success. The name Asuen is more of a Bini (Edo south) name, while Ighodalo is more of Esan (Edo central), the combination of the PDP candidate's first and surname will spur him to success, by earning him votes from all over Edo state. But the name of the Labour party candidate is in a sorry situation, the name Olumide is more Yoruba than Edo, Akpata is more Yoruba than Edo. One would even think he is from Akoko Edo, but the name Osaigbovo negates the two other names, making people to have the impression that he is a foreigner in Edo south because the only great person that the name Apata can be traced to in Edo state is Tayo Apata and this also buttress the Yoruba theory, thereby leading Edo people to the popular saying that "Edo nor be Lagos". To cap it all we have the APC candidate Monday Okpebholo who has a single agenda since 2020 to develop only Edo central (Esan) when he becomes governor. His name Okpebholo will no doubt fetch him some few votes from only Edo central. 1 Like 1 Share |
